Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection

Gunjobs record speaks for himself. He is the absolute driving force to getting fixes made!
Nothing but respect for what he does

oh ok… still feels weird, before the update both 27s felt kinda the same to me (guess they were both so shit difference in energy retention were not noticeable lol), but now the normal 27 feels pretty good, 27sm feels like it has more thrust but also more clunky. Still they rate the same and given the rarity of dogfights extra thrust will matter more once you load the aircraft with missiles

Anyone created bug report for that?
If not, I can

Please do, i don’t have any info i could give you

Because as I see in most reliable source “internet” Su-34 doesn’t use rudder
Only 35 and 57 do

I have it unlocked and I am having the opposite experience.

Do you have the German one, or one with Pirate?

If you have one with Pirate, can you please do the following test for me:

Huh, weird. The empty mass is 16300 kg for S and 16700 for SM. I though the difference IRL was much bigger (don’t know where I read it, but some sources would give only a small difference, select few of others would give a much bigger figure).

@BBCRF, can you comment on this?

Oh boy, one FAB-3000 UMPK is enough to destroy one base and it glides very good. Su-34 can destroy 3 bases at once with six Grom-2s and FAB-3000 UMPK+two R-77s+two R-73s loadout.

And the Su-35 also flips its flaperons up as spoilers once it touches down.

Hopefully the snail models this, unlike the spoilers on the Tomcat, which were still missing last time I checked.

Just under the max 8 tonnes too.

Or rather, when you have the R-27ET’s instead of the R-77’s.

how far can they glide ?

Am I a schizo or Su-27 drops all TWS contacts if you are changing radar vertical skew and Su-27SM not?

Stop spreading fake information

R73 hasnt been touched in few patches and flight model in forever

Sounds like a placebo if the files haven’t been touched.

I havent personally used it. Could very much be the case

Could it always do this?

I just tested it — I dropped the bomb from an altitude of 11,000 meters at a speed of 680 km/h, and it hit a target 43 km away. It still had enough altitude to glide even further.

Missiles can behave differently depending on the server. They always fly much better/smoother when it test drives, because the game’s server is on your PC. In live games they behave worse.
I don’t know if a lighter server (dev server) increases the quality of missile simulation, but if it does that could be the reason.

Or, they did actually make them better by changing something under the hood. In the case, all TVC missile will fly be better (MICA, SRAAM, R-73).

It looked like they were more stable
