They have 2 engines, they have wings. Similar enough

A380 has more engines and bigger wings, therefore all Typhoons, Flankers, F-15s etc must have worse flight models

Su-30Sm and Su-35 can both carry R-37M and have been seen doing so

only Su-30SM2 and Su-35S

I dunno how those would play, Maybe like a Tornado but more bricky and faster…

Could be fun tho

I had a talk with a friend when the f15e was firstly introduced ingame and he said something that i 100% agree, it proved that stuff like the mig31 could be viable ingame. Staying at high alt with its absurd speed launching its missiles could give a headache to the opponents it’ll face.

MiG-25 would be a bit more tricky tho but i believe it’ll also be viable if you put it at like 12.0-12.7 br

edit: ok perhaps not up to 12.7 but around 12.0 it should be fine

Well… damn. Guess we stuck until more advanced Flankers will be added or (as unlikely it as it is) FM is fixed

Also, bruh, “though regarding energy these don’t differ much from the R-77”, isnt it literally noticably better and puts it on pair (and even being better IIRC) than already present AIM-120A/B?

Frankly, I would rather they work on the FM and fix the RADAR bugs instead of buffing its weapons.

It has more range but idk exactly how better it would be, regardless, i don’t see why not add a new missile that has a bit more energy if they themselves admit that it wouldn’t change the situation by much, why did they add the aim120B?

Well, more range is “better” in the case of R-77 and it being somewhat reliable within 20km.

Yes and they said r-77-1 wouldn’t change the balance, i don’t see why not add then…

Yeah, especially IIRC in-game R-77 already uses R-77-1 model anyway

The dev team seems to be addicted on committing a certain deadly sin regularly…

Who was seriously asking for RVV-MD? R-77-1 was the obvious stopgap that blatantly wouldn’t leapfrog the SPAMRAAM. We need a non-hobbled flight model, and we need a radar that can reliably function beyond visual range. Even fixing the broken scan pattern would be a tremendous help since currently the worst case time to re-scan the same block of sky can be as high as 2T when it should be T. This is afflicting everyone’s radar, but it is a BIG DEAL for the flanker since 2T is 8 entire seconds due to the combination of facts that the scan rate is so slow and we can’t redefine how many degrees that we want in a single sweep. The terrible scan pattern isn’t a noteworthy deal when I’m flying my F-15E because it scans the sky so fast and I can always shrink the scan angles down to laser focus on whatever I want. The Su-27 is comparatively blind outside of visual range.

I wonder if they ever fix the scan patters… going down up down up is just nuts… Why cant they fix it after god knows how many years. Most scan patters in modern radars are from top to down then jump on top and repeat. But noooo… gaijin has to repeat it from bottom for some reason. Is there even any russian jet with so re*arded scan pattern? Or hell… give planes their scan patterns if they are special.

I don’t even bother trying to acquire BVR locks with TWS mode in most situations in the flanker. Most of the time I can physically see the target’s contrail but the radar contact is several seconds out of date and isn’t good enough to even acquire a missile lock since it’s off target by so much.
