Correct no, decently close enough yes if the thrust curve is accurate
Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection
The developer has not contacted me.So he doesn’t need it.First of all, let him correct the geometry of the aircraft
It’s a very difficult question, i’d really want to see how “close enough” it is in real numbers but the only way to do that would be stealing a flanker from the VVS
It’s far closer than what most planes are in warthunder. I could test tomorrow the F-16C SEP to see this since sustained turn matches and thrust (since it has actual believable (not super low) channel losses) seems to be right.
The closest should be MiG-29 iirc, F-15C and F-16C are mostly correct, F-15A and F-16A are suspected to be overperforming, delta-canard fighters are overperforming in energy retention.
The f15a is particularly super strange to say the least, its performance compared to the f15c is just considerably superior
I’m not sure why the C variants of F-15 and F-16 would be somewhat accurate, yet Gaijin overestimated their performance for the A variants.
At 450 kph the A can sustain 21 deg/s while the C less than 19 deg/s, i understand that they are heavier but damn it’s just too much.
F-15C engines are overall worser, untill 1.6 mach(or smth like that)
I’m probably imagining this but I feel that the way the Flanker flies on dev server is somewhat different compared to live? Maybe changes to the instructor?
it does feel a bit more agile and maneuverable, atleast when i tried the su-34
It doesn’t feel different in the dev
What feels different though are the R-73s. It doesn’t wobble like at all! Even when the missile is flying straight which notoriously makes it wobble.
Missiles tend to be much more stable in test drives than live battles. Could also apply to a lightly loaded server, like the dev. Not saying there is no difference, but be careful with the conclusion, especially considering that the R-73 file is unchanged.
You’re right. Just tested the live server R-73 in test flight (so connection does not impact it) and its the same.
I wonder if they fixed missile woblle in gsneral then, a lot of missiles have been woblling a lot as of the last year or so, it was just more noticeable on the thrust vectored ones
quit derailing this thread lol
Aw beans
I really hope that with the addition of the Su-34 they take the FM of the Su-27 into consideration for once. Especially w/o sim controls, since most players play Air RB as opposed to Sim.
I just want my Flanker not to be hot garbage, yet the snail demands otherwise.
Man we should really get the Su-27SM3 like right now lmao
The F-15I (PW-229) is absolutely bonkers. It can reach 1620ias on the deck and accelerates like crazy
Weren’t you the one saying even the base Su-27S was enough?
