Maybe for arb general play, maybe yes but for joust, I think its second worse 14.7 above J-15T. Idk I really want to love this plane but I just feel so skill issue in it xddddddd, I still don’t know how to take the initiative and score early game kills this bvr thing is not my thing XDD.

disable the TVC for everything that does not need TVC. planes are designed that way for reasons you know

I know, but the Su-30MKI derivatives are still super draggy and lose a ton of speed with or without TVC.

the flankes use TVC for trim ao that they have less darg that trimm8ng the control surfaces would produce

planes are designed that way for reasons you know

i bet using TVC at speed leads to more energy loss than not using it.

If only bets mattered to aerodynamics. Moving trhust angle will create less drag than moving a surface. And with the amount of thrust engine produces, it’s a very small angle change

do this test and give me the result. stall the flanker (making it fall). try to get it out of stall (basicly gaining speed and control):
1- with TVC
2- without TVC
share your result

You can do it yourself to prove me wrong. Instead you couldn’t be bothered so you shove your work onto me.

i have, and i tell you recovering with TVC takes much longer than recovering wihtout it. im just asking you to do it so you can grasp what i mean.

the main point im going to reach is this. lift is the most efficient way of turning. and you get lift with airspeed and to get that , the best way is to have the engine set at 0 angle (basicly no TVC) the reason TVC is cool and all is when you reach a speed low enough that you dont have enough speed to turn. then it becomes viable to use TVC which again is very inefficient. efficiency is what matters most in 2 circle unless you need that last drop of AOA at that critical moment

tell me you didnt get my point without telling me that you didnt get my point

Difference is around a second at altitude above 5km (Su-30SM with 12 missiles loaded) and it’s mostly due to gaijin lousy modelling with TVC overcorrecting itself and making airframe jitter

Someone’s gonna look at the thread with 200 unread messages and think the Su35 got leaked.

And then a mod is gonna read… that message.

Good thing this thread isn’t a flag fiesta like some others.

Amazed forum still has nice people💯

Raf and EFT thread vs Su-27 and MiG-29 thread.

at lower alts it will be higher and i will tell you why. the test is a little bit loaded. when you are falling straight down and trying to pull up, TVC will will put the engine nozzle upward which will produce downward thrust, that means the thrust that your engine produces is being used against you. so for example if you are falling alt difference will be more significant (x=at2+v.0t(a=f/m)) . now at lower alts the thrust will be higher so this effect will show itself more and can literally slam you to the ground.
