There were 2 reports about the countermeasures already, one is lablelled as “duplicate” and the other is “accepted” but closed.
So I guess not for the foreseeable future.
Eh, if I have to guess - not until Su-35S, which spots same CM arrangement (and IIRC the “Sting” design) as newer 30SM2. And we can expect Su-35S this year, if I had to guess again (there isnt many 4th gen fighters left, so I think Snail gonna make one last push for 4++ jets within this year/first half of the next until moving to moving the ground TTs further up (T-14, Abrams X, etc) or finally hitting 5th gen fighters)
the Su-35 carries 14 less countermeasures than the 30SM
here you can see that the Su-35S has 6 countermeasure dispensers
each has 14 CMs
Su-30SM has 7 of those dispensers
and the Su-30SM2 has 8 of them
6 on top and 2 below
Huh, I swear Su-35S had more CM until newer 30SM2 got same tail sting and same overall amount of CM…

newer Su-35S’s have the 2 extra counter measure dispensers below the tail instead of ontop, but the total number of CMs did not change between Su-35S’s
As Ron said in his last message, the Su-35 depending on batch can have those dispensers on top or bottom.
Only way I see it having more countermeasures is if they give it both upper and lower dispensers at the same time, which would be a stretch and I highly doubt it.
Could be “technically possible” but look at the SM2 still missing them while it shouldn’t, that’s why I’m skeptical.

Damn… oh well. 14 less is… annoying, but not life threatening (and not a factor if/then we finally get proper ECM for BVR (because Im damn sure Snail gonna code it as a counter/additional factor for BVR and anti-SPAA defense))
Eh, Su-30 in game is a mess to begin with. Lets not forget that it use to (and still is) have in-game model issues
84 is not the endo of the world I guess, but yeah given they are large caliber every drop can make the difference.
gaijin saved the dispensers from the Su-30SM2 to put them onto the Su-35S

I doubt they gonna be LDIRCM level (at least for balance purpose), but probably will work like chaff already is - increasing the notch angle, making it more forgiving
