Yes the su30sm isn’t the top tog regarding Flight performance besides instant turn Rate
The radar is a Mixed bag
But besides that it’s a pretty Solid plane
Being a heavy missile bus Trading speed and agility for carrying enough missiles for the entire game plus some cas options if needed
Pretty sure a fully loaded (r27et/r77-1/r73) su30sm with 4 napalms and full fuel still outruns a F18 armed with 2 aim9m
It’s also faster than the su34
Well, Su-34 is like 6-7 tons heavier on empty
so i just tested my theory even with 4.5 metric tonnes of missiles and bombs and full fuel the su30sm still does 1.10-1.11 mach on the deck a f18 tops out at 1.08(with only 2 aim9m)
so
4 x zb500
4x r77-1
6x r27er(they are just the heaviest Russian air to air missile )
2x r73
and full fuel on the su30sm still outruns a f18c with minimum fuel and 2 aim9m
because the f-18 is the slowest 4th gen and hits is max speed of mach 1.08
it is like being suprised that a fully loaded f-4 is faster than a f-5
the only thing that would impact top speed and not acceleration is the external load of a plane
so it dosent matter if you take full or minfuel in the case of the f-18
was mainly just disproving this

btw it still more or less reaches the same speed even with a full A2A loadout and a droptank
I know my English suck. But you should at least read everything. I pretty sure, i have said that the only good part of the Su-30sm are how much missile it have. That its implying R-77-1 and how you can use them to “Control” zone. Also just for the Records I has always being against Gaijin add R-77-1. Just the need to add a new missile so the trash would be able to compete. Prove how bad it is.

not necessarily the radar on the su30sm is a huge step up from the su27sm radar so even with r77 it would be decent
down the line we could get the su30sm without canards so it will perform closer to the su27 in flight model
or if gaijin is really generous su30sm2 new engines new radar (i hope they can add it without the r37(i think it was huge long range missile))

The su27sm3 would have 10 r77s(irl it had 8 but it didn’t have the double rack pylons, so it would be 10 in game) and it would have r771s instead of the normal r77s. Plus the vastly, vastly superior bvr performance of the original su27 compared to the su30, it would be a great vehicle.
