Which means absolutely nothing? The entire point of their avionics changes is for domestication, not improvements to the aircraft.
The best quality might be the AESA, which is barely documented and hard to substantiate in comparison to the N035.

Sure bud in no way are European/Israeli avionics and upgrade over Russian ones
In what way would they be?
yup, it’s worth to sacrifice some ERs to use them
If they introduce R-77-1. Maybe the plane would have a chance of doing BVR. Right now the Su-27sm its useless at that. But that opens two path. first one is gaijin screw thing like they always do. And the missile is meh. And the second its that its actually good. But everyone start crying Russian bias. Muh AIM120c-5, muh Meteor and s***T. And we end in the same position.
I hoping that I’m wrong an the plane is good. But i have low expectative and 0 hype. Even when i has always wanted a Canard+TVC flankers in game.
Same here. Never believing in gj
R77-1 won’t help, I think R27EA and R77M should be added same time as AMRAAM C-5, or simply remove some limitations on existing ARHs.
R-27EA doesn’t exist and K-77M is still only prototype and only for Su-57
R27EA was tested, never actually enlisted, also it does have same seeker as R77 so quite easy. R77M is not in to service, but doesn’t stop gaijing from adding it, just R77 with normal fins.
K-27A was tested, not K-27EA. (K-27A was canceled in 89, before ER was even produced 91)
The ER was released back in 1985
He’s thinking probably R27M, cause EA is definitely tested.
I would love to see anything mentioning K-27EA ever being tested, otherwise it is just copium. I also want better ARH missile for Russia, but I am not gonna hop they will add a missile that never existed, othewise might aswell add K-30
That was a good read. But google translate …
“Стоит немного упомянуть о том, что лет 6-7 назад СМИ писали о том, что Индия вышла из проекта истребителя FGFA на базе Су-57 из-за отсталой авионики, на деле отказ был со стороны ОКБ «Сухого» из-за предоставления индийской HAL технической документации системы самозащиты 101КС «Атолл» английской компании BAE Systems.”
What i get from that its that India leaving the Pak FA project has to do with the 101kc system? and Sukhoi didn’t want to give info to BAE System?
Yeah, by the text it that it wasnt India who left the project, but Sukhoi because of Indian HAL were providing technical documentation of 101KC “Atoll” to BAE Systems
Yes! This is true…India has not officially withdrawn from the project…
On November 22, 2008, Sukhoi and HAL signed a “preliminary” contract for the joint development of a promising 5th-generation fighter, under which the Indian side took on issues primarily related to the development of the fighter’s on-board computer, navigation system, information display system in the cockpit (displays, etc.), as well as the on-board defense complex… She was also assigned a certain share of the program’s funding. In late 2009 and in August 2010. The Russian prototype of the PAK FA was demonstrated to Indian high-ranking delegations, which made a huge impression on representatives of the government and the Indian defense industry and accelerated the process of signing relevant intergovernmental agreements.
or you know, just fix the existing R-77 drag
Isn’t the R-77 supposed to be better than the R-27EA. I mean why research, develop and manufacture a new missile instead of just putting the active seeker in the R-27 if the R-77 is going to be inferior.
Obviously the R-77 is more maneuverable but the less drag at supersonic and sub sonic speeds should give it somewhat comparable range.
Was the R-77 just cheaper to produce?
