Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

It’s worse than the regular su-27 i don’t see why 13.3

I think they will add it with 13.3, too “good” for 13.0.

Gaijin might has other opinion about it but i wish u will be right about that 13.0

Well If they give crap-33 13.3 it will eventually be adjusted when it starts getting demolished, we don’t need to worry about that tbh

Unfortunately that is possible.

I would nto say it is worse.

It will be bullied even on 13.0 tbh. With worst FM than Su-27 it’s DOA for me nothing except for fixed FM will help.

Half CMs, worse flight performance, same weaponry and same radar. A slightly better rwr and 2 more missiles won’t make up for its flaws…

Correct me if I wrong, but wasnt part of limited (6 machines IIRC) modification of SU-33 not only had L-150 RWR, but also stronger engines?

The engine improvement is pretty poor, it won’t make up for the weight increase

All Su-33s had increased thrust engines. But the increase is insignificant

4 more tons than regular su-27 to be more specific, that’s a Lot.

I think he means AL-31F-M1 over Serie 3 in standard Su-33

I’ll probably be good for those last stand r73 shots because canards are poorly modeled

Modernization to Su-33(M)…
Sukhoi Corporation has been repairing and upgrading aircraft to Su-33(M) since 2002. A total of 19 Su-33 fighters have been upgraded (including two aircraft - twice).
As of October 5, 2010,
Sukhoi conducted ground and flight tests of upgraded Su-33 fighters.
Judging by the data available from the contacts of public procurement for modernization, it boils down to supporting the aircraft to perform the role of a bomber and a carrier of various
modern hanging containers for reconnaissance and target designation. Radar replacements and support for modern air-to-air missiles like RVV-AE are not performed in the aircraft, because
the role of the fighter is assigned to the Mig-29K, and the Su-33 must solve tasks where a large payload and range are required.

  • Installation of GPS/GLONASS satellite navigation systems
  • Installation of the SVP-24 high-precision bombing system
  • Installation of the L-150 radiation warning station
  • The SU-33 is planned to be equipped with a modern IFI-based system…

No, there was no such thing

Understood.

So, it’s essentially another strike aircraft?

(Deleted my previous reply cuz i didn’t pay attention at all before writing)

Su-33 does not have any smart munitions, why do you call it " strike"?
