hey David, can you take a look at this modeling error :D
Everything is fine now. * 2
thanks <3
Got any sources regarding the normal scan angles for the NO11M Bars? The vertical scan area is suprisingly bad in-game, maxing out at 7 deg iirc, which was really surprising to me considering the V004 from the Su-34 gets 20 deg vertical and the Rafales RBE2-AA gets 31.5 deg vertical atm in-game.
Bug report:
Su-30SM N011M Bars radar scan pattern too small:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/mSEYE8KerHXS
(Thanks to whomever is was that forwarded many of the previous reports in one go; Unfortunately the site no longer shows the name of the tech mods)
For comparison:
Zaslon (From the same manufacturer) has a 90x20= 1800 square degrees scanning area:
A- Russia’s Arms and Technologies. The XXI Century Encyclopedia. Vol. 10 - Aircraft armament and avionics - Энциклопедия Оружие и технологии России. XXI век. Том 10 - Авиационное вооружение и авионика, page 328.
B- Mikoyan MiG-31 (Famous Russian Aircraft): Gordon, Yefim, Page 195.
So a 5500 square degrees scanning area for the much more modern Bars radar (from the same manufacturer) makes sense …
Id be a pretty substantial buff, would make it the largest scan area in-game atm for an air based radar, dethroning the Rafales 140x31.5 deg (4410deg^2)
The BARS does not have such a scanning area. The data on the ZASLON radar refers to the first variant of the MiG-31. In the MiG-31B, the parameters were improved by replacing the on-board computer.
A large max scan area is not a disadvantage (to get rid of for improvement).
what mod are you using for the AB?
Unfortunately it’s not a custom afterburner, since after firebirds the lenght and color of flame can no longer be changed. The purple-ish color is just some slight post production I did :)
Does anyone know why we can only still equip 2x R-27ET’s? Did they really not expand the carrying capacity of these missiles except for on the Yak-141? Whats up with that.
And Su-34
Probably just no documentation to support pylons with coolant on the other hard points
IIRC it because only two pylons are specially air cooled to allow 27T to be mounted
The su35 is able to mount 4 r27et
I wish i had enough time to research that thing in one day or so, unfortunately i think i’ll only be able to fly it on the next month, not to mention the spading saga…
