Making an 1100 kph max speed aircraft go 1450 kph is peak Gaijin
I love when my already pretty bad top tier flight model gets even more nerfed while everything else gets buffed!

But getting the speed wrong by such a drastic amount (1100 kph vs 1450 kph) does not cease to amaze me …

Su-30SM’s top speed is also probably too high, but will have to wait for it to come to the live server.

Su-30SM barely touches Mach 1.7 on clean config btw, and only after using the whole map at 10km alt

Su-30SM already have its right Vne nor Su-34 data on websites is actually correct

One website is the official export agency of the Russian government (Mach 1.45 / 1100 kph)
The other is the company that manufactures the aircraft (1500 kph / 1100 kph)
And for the sake of completeness, here’s the FSVTS (Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation) listing for Su-32:

What is your source that Su-34 should be able to go Mach 1.98 at altitude and 1450 kph on the deck?

This is not Vne
We are talking about maximum speed (at level flight)
And 1450 kph / 1100 kph = 1.318
That’s quite a chunky multiplier!

Even for Su-30SM, I’m not claiming it’s the Vne (though it very well might be).
I was talking about maximum speed in level flight, but I was checking the speed for that one from statshark, since it’s not on live yet …
Also Su-30SM and Su-30SME are entirely different aircrafts, so sources for SME are not applicable to SM.
They differ in avionics IIRC
The airframe design is similar
The engine thrust curves have to be wildly different to account for such a drastic difference in speed … Possible in this case but I doubt it …
As for Su-34 vs Su-34E
It’s virtually impossible for the former to have a max speed of 1450 on the deck when the export version goes 1100 on the deck …

Either way, 1.75 to 2.0 is not that big of a difference
But in the case of Su-34
1450 vs 1100 on the deck
And Mach 1.98 vs 1.45 at altitude
Is a massive difference … It completely changes the nature of the aircraft …
