Look like a Kitbash from Sea Power lol
jesus christ did they try and make the Su-30 model by slightly rescaling bits of Su-33, slapping on a new cockpit, and calling it a day
Yeah the Su-30SM model still seems quite rough… and by rough I mean it looks malnourishmed, poorly maintained. Absolutely needs work. Doesnt have to look like it just came off the production line but it definitely needs some polishing.
Looks like third world export MiG-23S build quality
Has anyone or will anyone bug report the double racks that shouldnt be on this jet then? The argument for them on the 27SM from my understanding was that the R-77 was subpar, but the R-77-1 is (in a vaccuum) the best missile in-game starting this patch forwards, and even considering launch aircrafts offers a bit more than parity over all missiles in-game.
There would no longer be any balance related reasons to have them on the Su-30SM, and once on live, gaijin wont remove them.
His calculation are wrong. Yea there is a difference between Su-35s and other flanker but its not by that much. Its barely even noticeable Its more like the engine are tilted outwards. Su-35s has same dimension as other flankers its just tiny thing like the sting on the tail. The engine tilt because AL-41 has bigger diameter. And some diff on the radar cone
Clearly in pic. There its not diff. on Su-30sm and Su-35s.
Edit; I guess in gaijin mind if there its not Clipping on the model its should work just fine.
its funny how wrong the 30 looks in game next to that
The Su-30Sm has serveral inaccuracies in its 3D model as you might have noticed,
so I made this bug report:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/jLyP0AcOEhy3
@BBCRF feel free to ping me or to sent me a PM if there are further issues with the model so I can add them to the bug report.
@Gunjob could you please forward the bug report.
Flanker enthusiasts, I would like to ask a question: is there real-world evidence that the Su-30SM can carry the KH-38MT?
found this on the RU wt forum (it says the su30mk can use it and this variant of the su30 -MK- is from 1993, the su30sm is newer than the su30mk so should be able to use it without any problems, i think)
I dont know about any but there is Kh-59M evidence.
Spoiler
Thats not double pylons
I saw people saying that it would have the same engine as the Su27SM, is that true? Nonetheless, i am loving this aircraft.
No Su-30SM only use AL-31FP
As i know IRL early Su-27SM also used AL-31F, which is same by thrust
What is the empty weight of the Su-30SM right now?
18.4t according to the datamine
Seems to be accurate then
Su-30MKI is also 18.4 tons empty
