gaijin mix the early mode and late mode SU27 together :(
Those Gripens had AIM-9L IRL, vs R-73 if I recall correctly.
Aside from that, it is obvious the Gripen is overperforming in-game with >25 deg/s sustained turn rate.
really? man i dont get it, why everyone has more than 300 flares while the su27 is left with 90 something, like bruh
i remember that the su27 in WT is the mode with longer caudal vertebrae, it should have more CMs but gaijin only give the number of shorter mode
i remember that it should have about 240 CMs (? I really can’t remember correctly )
show it to me

From chinese airforce reference data(J-11/Su-27); it’s obvious that F-15 destroies everyone else including Su-27(Purple vs Red line)
Chinese word means “Overall maneuverability comparison”
Seems like its similar pattern of Ps=0 graph
we need some source to confirm that ;/,
also, we should probably ask gaijin to fix the irrcm or improve the irccm of the r73? @MiG_23M ziggy in his video is clearly with full afterburner all the time and the r73 just goes for flares, what is that? r60m?
I blocked Ziggy over a week ago, all IR missiles currently underperform against afterburning targets where afterburner exhaust plume is visible especially from side aspect.
the direction means AOA and the transverse means speed? i cant find any information excpet the plane and the number
R-73 IRCCM is perfectly modelled in a vaccuum, also the 96 countermeasures is the correct amount feel free to count them yourself

(each block has 3)
It may be the IR signature of the Gripen itself.
so it should go for flares when the target is with full afterburner all the time?
No, not the AOA but turn rate
thats more of a problem with all IR missiles at the moment and not unique to just the R-73
i mean, im ngl the aim9ls/aim9ms are working great against my 29 lol but im glad it’s not only the r73 that is having problems rn, maybe gaijin will fix that soon
I am still trying to find out what does “perfectly modelled in vacuum means.”
English Translation: Test flight against flying in circles against AI targets.
It literally means nothing.
what I was referring to was the missile has all the correct parameters and any issues related to its seeker performance is more an issue affecting all IR missiles and not unique to the R-73
Can you share the flare rejection performance of the seeker vs the one in game?
why in dcs the su27 has 96 flares and 96 chaff then? Do they have a different version of the su27?
