Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

There are charts for instantaneous turn rate, but that is not what I am talking about. We are looking for western style EM charts or diagrams showing the energy loss rate based on altitude gain / loss during sustained turns.

I dont think you can get exactly that, never saw anything similar in russian manuals, they do have a LOT of info and charts about flight performance but you often need to calculate out exactly what is often depicted on western EM charts.

Good luck, especially for vehicles after Su-27, finding any data for Russian stuff.

Look at DCS , they can’t even add anything newer than Su-27-Mig-29 for RU , they are not even allowed to make / can’t make full fidelity Su-27 for reasons.

It’s there, just a different format. I could take a look later, but I am preoccupied with other projects.

I have had no such issues finding documentation for Russian stuff as I have Western stuff. Try finding thrust charts for the F100-PW-100. They don’t exist on the public internet.

I meant stuff newer than Su-27

It may become an issue, sure.

This is your skill/access privilege , not that many people here that can find stuff like this.

I appreciate your existence in this community and applaud you for your contribution since the day I saw the work you did

But you also just proved my point that it’s almost impossible to find solid data.

You need to have special access/skill/people you know

I don’t have special access to view anything of the sort.

Networking with Russian speaking members makes public research easier, but the most secretive stuff is by far not the Soviet equipment. All Soviet era stuff is for the most part available online.

And how many people in the english forum can understand Russian?

How many can both understand russian and has friends in the military aircraft enthusiast community?

List gets shorter and shorter for the ordinary person to find sources if they want to. They simply do not have the necessary conditions.

Almost all the Russian speakers are in RU forum, and they do not seem to be active reporters/measurers at all.

Apparently quite a lot

USSR/Federation’s best top tier fighter’s vs infinite energy & flare JAS39C (non-spaded and expert crew)

The Su27 and Mig29 both renowned for their mighty nose authority and dogfight agility fail to ever get a nose on the Gripen. Realistic or nah.

You be the judge.

That’s realistic.
People over-hyped the Su-27 & Mig-29.

The Flanker platform is the principal threat fighter of the United States of America.

Not the budget fighter Gripen. Sorry.

Then again, I appreciate your input. If that is realistic, so be it.

Translate:According to Li Zhonghua’s report, the success rate of attacks by Chinese fighter jets over 50 kilometers is 0, while the success rate of Thai fighter jets is 24%; From 30 kilometers to 50 kilometers, the success rate of Thai fighter jets is as high as 64%, while the success rate of Chinese fighter jets is only 14%. The Su-27 has better maneuverability. When both sides engage in close range combat within a 30 kilometer range, the success rate of Thai fighter jets is only 12%, while Chinese fighter jets rely on their excellent stable hovering ability to increase the success rate to 86%.

Which means Flankers can destory the Gripens when they’re in dogfight

periodic countermeasures + 700 flares is the most retarded thing ever lol, idk if the countermeasures of the su27 is accurate, in dcs it has more than in warthunder, but su 27 having 96 or something comapred to 700 of the gripen is insane

Those Gripens had AIM-9L IRL, vs R-73 if I recall correctly.
Aside from that, it is obvious the Gripen is overperforming in-game with >25 deg/s sustained turn rate.
