Probably. I think if we don’t see major improvement by the December update then the flankers are done for. That’s why I started grinding France recently. I can do well in the SM but it really isn’t fun when you’re outmatched in pretty much all aspects.

They know that the Flanker is underperforming in turn by about 0.2g, yet they think it’s “close enough.”

I recommend giving up on that matter, the issues regarding FMs were already exposed, the devs will add/change stuff when (and if) they want, unfortunately…

Anyway aside from dying inside from the gimped Flanker FM.
Does anyone have data on the Su-34?
More specifically about it’s targeting system, like the zoom and if it has thermals like the SM3.
Also can the 34 carry Kh-38MTs?
I’m sure LATER models had stuff like this, since it did come out during the immediate Post-Soviet Era, but all I can find on the most trustworthy unbiased and informative source in the world (wikipedia) only has the original Su-34 loadout and I couldn’t find anything on optics

Good question. I dont want to invoke malice, so probably insufficient data with existing one being “close enough”. The Snail might elect to change/improve the flight model if they decide that Flankers under-perform game wise. But they probably, if push comes to shove, just slap R-77-1 on them and call that a day (note it for Soviet/Russian Flankers. Chinese J-11 are cursed to suffer until J-11B at the very least)
Edit: And yes, the overperformance of almost all 3rd and 4th gen fighters in the game (IIRC only one tuned like IRL is MiG-29)

because its russian, if was a US fighter should be overperforming like 30% in some conditions, like the f16

Are leaks allowed to be discussed here? If they are, what do you guys think about the Su-34 coming this update apparently? It’ll have a worse flight model than the SM but a much better radar, so it might be better in the ARH meta. No thermals but carries KH38 so it’ll be okay CAS.

Knowing how Gaijin balance Russian CAS planes it will have FAB 3000 glide bombs and an air spawn. I tease it’s a cool edition
I like the su34 but i’m not hyped with its possible addition because of gaijin’s recent failures, it’ll probably come out super buggy and weird.
Buggy or not buggy it will be a missile bus. It weights a lot more than the Su-27.
Until Su-27SM3 or MiG-29M is added flight performance will always be on the lower end
