That its implying R-77-1 and how you can use them to “Control” zone. Also just for the Records I has always being against Gaijin add R-77-1. Just the need to add a new missile so the trash would be able to compete. Prove how bad it is.

not necessarily the radar on the su30sm is a huge step up from the su27sm radar so even with r77 it would be decent
down the line we could get the su30sm without canards so it will perform closer to the su27 in flight model
or if gaijin is really generous su30sm2 new engines new radar (i hope they can add it without the r37(i think it was huge long range missile))

The su27sm3 would have 10 r77s(irl it had 8 but it didn’t have the double rack pylons, so it would be 10 in game) and it would have r771s instead of the normal r77s. Plus the vastly, vastly superior bvr performance of the original su27 compared to the su30, it would be a great vehicle.

You can already try out the su27sm and see how much better it is than the su30 in terms of climbing, acceleration, time to speed, etc. su30 is just so dman heavy
Sure, but BVR perf is limtied by its avionics
i know its a heavy brick but the radar on the su27sm is so 13.0
it works ok at visual ranges good even if you havent enjoyed xESA (its like moving to OLED or a mechanical keyboard you dont want to go back ).
but bvr its terrible and don’t even get me started on the tws of the su27sm
TWS on the su27sm is more than enough for BVR >20km. And within 20km, you can just use your hms.
for starters its missing a flight path calculator (plane is moving but the tws just list the last known location until the radar is searching the airplane location again )
that is if its sees the plane at all which is also very luck based behind 20km

R-77-1 is theoretically better than 120, except it’s bond to Su-30sm for now, and carrying base is trash and doesn’t really press anyone until enemy is bunch of typical Typoo/Ravioli fans which can’t notch. Having 120 in F-16C for example I can both do sniping shots at the beginning going mach 1.4-1.5 or slam enemy in some close range fights thanks to maneuverability which allows me to compensate aim-120’s turn.
