When you look at restored tanks, you often see them painted in a clean matte olive drab paint. This paint is one of the most iconic colors in the world when it comes to tanks, and that’s why I find it strange that very few tanks in-game actually have this paint on them, with one of the only ones I can think of being the M51 and the US M41A1. Almost all other tanks in the US TT are, by default, “painted” in a brown color that is often heavily worn and dirty, which is, to be quite frank, quite unappealing on some tanks.
So that is why I am suggesting that a clean matte olive drab paint scheme be added to most of the tanks in the US TT as an unlockable camo. Now I say most because there are several tanks that were not given this treatment, mostly at the lower and high tiers, with a few examples being the Stuarts, LVTs, and the M1 Abrams series.
Shouldn’t this issue be submitted under the Bug Report section? Because the early colors of Republic of China vehicles were also supposed to be dark green only the ones used by the Burma Expeditionary Force matched the current in game color. At first, I submitted it as a suggestion, but it didn’t get approved. Later, I submitted it as a Bug Report and it went through. I just don’t really get it adding a new color shouldn’t take that much time, so why does it take so long?
This is a camouflage I captured from Enlisted. There are many of them I’d love to see in the game, but for now, it looks like we’ll have to wait a while or maybe they won’t be added at all. That includes colors closer to real life German grey, and allowing all vehicles to use any camouflage freely. For example, during the Battle of Normandy, the Panzer II had multicolor camouflage, but War Thunder doesn’t allow it. Many vehicles that are painted in so called " Fake german grey" have this issue.
