even gaijin decide to remove switch mission target that used to abuse grom-1 i wouldn’t care about bases, mostly do ground pounding on air sim since tt done. prob give 10-15 glide grom and its good or 12 vikhr like on su25t.

While I agree with some of your sentiment, the Brimstone is going to be underpowered in the game so it’s not a good point of comparison.
I think they need to keep the Grom-1. Without it, I dont see the SU-34 being that special when compared to the F-15E. If the missles exist for that plane in real life, then keep them.
Lets not pretend that people didnt and still dont have issues with F-14’s taking off, Spamming missles and landing to get more.
All of the sudden, Russia has a missle they can do that with ground targets with and its a problem? Really? If someone does it, it still takes forever for the missles to take out a base. With any luck that someone else doesnt take a base out first, you would only get 1 base. They take about 4 minutes to get there.

If you are comparing it to the F-14 with Aim-54… Then it still has 8x R-77s to sling off in that manner. Making it more powerful than the F-14B
Grom 1s are cross map cruise missiles that have no equal in game. None at all. They would have destroyed top tier economy.
Grom 2 is equal in performance to the glide bombs found for other nations

I think everyone knows that you cannot sling R-77’s across the map. They are short range missles that say they are long range missles.
I do agree with you that the Grom-1 would have no equal in the game, but that is my point.
The US has AIM-54’s, and Aim-120’s which are noticably better than any other long range ARH missles which make them the same…Heck the F-15 is a jet with no equal. So think there is plenty of “No Equal” to throw around…Especially for the US.
Why is it an issue when Russia has a weapon of no equal? And lets be for real, in Air RB ground attacks dont get all that many points anyway. Also, if it exists, than why not keep it. They could even nurf it so it doesnt work over 50km or something, but dont just take it away.

If you are within 50km, then just use Grom 2. They have a bigger payload.
If they are going to add Grom 1. Then they should also add weapon systems like Storm Shadow and Taurus. Along with other similar weapon systesms. Would be the only way to make it fair.
Su-34 is already the first aircraft with a PESA radar and the KH-38s are going to be more OP than ever. Quite frankly. Neither the Su-34 or F-15E should have been added this update as most nations are struggling to maintain parity with the aircraft added months ago.
Removing Grom 1s was the right decision until such time they can be balanced. In Sim alone, they would result in sim being even more nerfed than it already is withwise to SL/RP gains (and likely at all BRs)
Quite frankly, With the SAL Brimstones, Im annoyed the Su-34 even gets to keep IR guided KH-38s

You make some good points. I wasnt thinking about the affects on other game modes. Was just frustrated for already OP US get the F15E and even just got the engine upgrade while the SU-34 got downgraded.
I l ike ground pounding so was looking forward to it. I already have the US top tier jets and im already setup to get the F-15E when it hits, I just wanted something to be close to it. I’ll have the SU-34 as soon as it hits too, but will have to do without the Grom-1. I’ll make it work.

Economy - Especially in gamemodes like sim where ground targets are always active. The ability take-off, launch a volley at a CCRP target and then RTB was immense. Especially with how common botting is in Sim these days, it would be heavily exploited. They either need to overhaul how the economy works or make it so the Grom 1s (and other cruise missiles) basically do no damage to bases

Equality. Most other nations should get equal, or close to. Most dont. In fact, not all even have equal to the Grom 2 and the likes yet. Mutliple nations are only just getting GPS guided weapons this update
