Su-34: Precision Jackpot

You make some good points. I wasnt thinking about the affects on other game modes. Was just frustrated for already OP US get the F15E and even just got the engine upgrade while the SU-34 got downgraded.
I l ike ground pounding so was looking forward to it. I already have the US top tier jets and im already setup to get the F-15E when it hits, I just wanted something to be close to it. I’ll have the SU-34 as soon as it hits too, but will have to do without the Grom-1. I’ll make it work.

Grom-1 should be reinstated.

Im down for Storm Shadows, Taurus and other cruise missiles to be added

Yeah, im down for all of them.

That was 1 of the 2 big problems with them

  1. Economy - Especially in gamemodes like sim where ground targets are always active. The ability take-off, launch a volley at a CCRP target and then RTB was immense. Especially with how common botting is in Sim these days, it would be heavily exploited. They either need to overhaul how the economy works or make it so the Grom 1s (and other cruise missiles) basically do no damage to bases

  2. Equality. Most other nations should get equal, or close to. Most dont. In fact, not all even have equal to the Grom 2 and the likes yet. Mutliple nations are only just getting GPS guided weapons this update

Brand new Barracuda M and JASSM-XR gonna go crazy

Grom-1 isn’t a cruise missile, if you want cruise missiles then let’s add the Kh-69

Closest equivalent.

Quite sad

Ignore the grom1, where is the fab-3000 with the wings

The Grom-1 analog is the Israeli Spice-250ER, a smaller caliber…
There are also no analogues of many types of Western weapons in Russia. What is the problem?
The analogues of Storm Shadow/Taurus are the Kh-59MK2/Kh-69 missiles, the Su-34 can also use them…

The equivalent needed as any weapon that can be effectively fired across map

I agree with you when it comes to Russian top tier planes in air battles. Man it takes ages for the r-27er to be launched at bogies. It seems to me that the radar reacts around 1 or 2 seconds slower. The TWS mode on Su27 version planes at 50km does not pick everything up. You often get surprised by a bogie that creeps up to you within 8km even though you actually scanned the area.

What happens is I start using the helmet mounted option cause it locks easier on targets and allows me to react quicker, it also has a 20km range. The R-77 missile performance is also quite bogus and I don’t think it is at all that bad in real life as it is in game.

However, when it comes to ground rb, I find Russias performance as being very good. Tanks are good not the best, but having the 52 and the Sm3 as a combo option, at times I can get 8 and above frags.

Then you will join the sect of identical planes with the same weapons!
We are taking AIM-54 out of the game, we are not adding F-117, we are not introducing air missiles with thermal imaging homing heads(AIM-9X) into the game (Russia does not have them)…For Soviet tanks, we wind up the reverse speed of 30 km / h … and so on.!

Good points but don’t forget that in real life, US air force has always bee ahead of Great Britain in almost every aspect. The Russians also have planes and missiles that except the US and now China are not rivaled by other Eu states… (Look at Great Britain, Germany and the rest of Europe, in the past 30 years, only one type of a plane has been built and designed the Eurofighter, of course you have France with the Rafale) I am not making these statements to create fights but, I guess the air dominance is kinda reflected in this game as well. To add to this point European nations have F-16s and F-35s but I count those as American planes cause they have not been engineered by Eu states.

For balancing purposes I do agree that adding the F-15I and the Su-34 does indeed make these two nations in cas mode very powerful.

Just going to point out though that Brimstones modeled correctly on the GR4 would have made it way more powerful than either the F15E or Su-34 but alas…that is never allowed to happen and so Brimstone is the weakest AGM anywhere near top tier at the moment.

Additionally…don’t forget the Gr4 is underperforming quite a bit and should have things like ASRAAM not Aim-9Ms and is missing half it’s CMs

I do agree that Brimstone is a highly capable missile, that can precisely hit targets at great distances, but what I found is that its approximate velocity is Maximum speed Supersonic, **~450 m/s (~ Mach 1.3) that is brimstone one version. I mean Mach1.3 velocity is not ground braking.

Otherwise it would have definitely made Uk cas more powerful. But look at it from a different angel, Britain is getting Indian tech which means both Typhoon and MKI platforms coming your way. That is something that no one has.

Can someone post a screen from the KH-38MT seeker?
Originally I thought that Su34 won’t be an issue due to lack of the TGP, but it looks it will be quite contrary.

It has thermal built-in.

i was waiting for TGP on Su-34 for one reason
using Laser guided missiles and bombs
namely Kh-29L and Kh-38ML and such
for Kh-29L, you can get within 10km launch it and turn back
as for Kh-38ML, you can do the same thing but from far far away…
pretty much making even a pantsir hopeless to kill the plane, and only target its AGMs which is un-rewarding
