SU-33 Air to ground capabilities

Can the su 33 recieve air to ground capabilities in the game?

What does it get irl?

AFAIK it’s missing ground missiles what aren’t in-game yet. Which is anti ship & anti radiation missiles.

Not sure what ground capabilities you’re refering to.

Will the russians Use Their Carrier-Based MiG-29K and Su-33 Aircraft in the War Against Ukraine? | Defense Express here it says

What for? Unless it’s for artistic purposes, of course. It’d be cool.

Just one random article is not the best sort of information to make a report on this for missing capabilities so devs can look at. Devs/Tech mods would be the best to answer this but i believe you need full documentation as proof.

That would be up to the devs to add. I can’t see what full purpose it would add.

Which are those missiles? I thought they didn’t have such capabilities.

would be a nice thing for sim and a nice little gimmick in battles, maybe mid fight u can fold ur wings (if planes can) to squeeze through tough areas + aestheically pleasing for people tho take photos etc

Something tells me that doing that would cause the wings to implode.

Bomb.

at low speeds could be pretty funny

Anti ship missiles it could, I can’t find anything else what’s considered as ‘proof’ to clarify all the missiles in the article. Such as the ‘KH-29’ what’s listed amongst them.

That’s just my observation. For reference here’s the Su-33 suggestion; and what lists many sources including blueprints / Photos of most of the missiles (some not in-game)

So if the post is refering to when is anti-ship/anti radiation missiles are coming I don’t believe anyone but CM / Devs can give you an answer or reply to that topic.

Hmm I see. Thanks.
On another note, could someone explain to me the difference between the R-27EM and a ‘normal’ ARH missile (say, the AIM-120A/B)?

R27em is a r27er but with an ARH seeker. There is probably other small changes to the motor or fins.

Then what about the R-27EA (which I know is something like a prototype/has not been used).

It has the same ARH seeker. I think the EA has some differences to the motor or fins. It has a bit less range.

Ohh, okay, thanks. Now the most important question: does the R-27EM really exist? Or is it like the EA?

The wiki doesnt even has a source for the EM. I am going to lean towards it not being used.

I think the EM was just used for show-offs. I only found one document on it but can’t find anywhere it was used or even find any pictures of it.
