I could speculate, without justification, that we already have a radar jamming system, target loss, and trap capture in the game.
If the Irbis radar is possibly having some issues, why not implement it in the game?
It would be decent if it got it’s quad racks, but thats about all it can get. It didn’t have an engine upgrade so theres really no chance of that being improved. The only real option is the F-15EX, and I know that one is being saved for a dual release with the Su-35
bvr is mostly usless(although these new esa notch radars will make it more viable), aim120s are the worst missiles at 14.0+, they have 0 ability to pull, HOBS perfomance has been the most important ability for months, r-77-1 have been the best missile in the game kinematically since release, they match aim120a’s in range whilst having significantly better ttg at lower ranges, have insane acceleration and g pull, they are simply the best in terms of flight perfomance, mica only works because of the tight notch gate.

yeah but, planes like EF2000 and the F-15E are faster, thus will have better range on the AMRAAMS, more energy and they are better then R77-1 in terms of drag, even if people dont do BVR(it does happen decent amount idk what do you mean by "useless’) it still does fine, never had a problem with them because i dont put my self in situations where i need the missiles to pull in under 3kms at a 70 degree angle, so yeah, AMRAAMS are more reliable then r-77-1, as i have used both of the platforms and prefer the amraams more, i guess if you have a gameplay of go in head irst and shoot misssiles to get kills i guess r77-1 are better because they turn more i guess
bvr is LARP, its inefficient and ineffective.
theyre are not you just dont know how to play the r77-1, its not even close in terms of perfomance.

i do, but the thing is that the SM is just slower and turns worse/loses speed alot, majority of the time i stay around mach 1.1 to mach 1.2 when i play it, so the ranges are worse, the platform makes the missile worse,
while with EF2000, my average speed is around mach 1.5 to 1.8, so yeah the platform makes the missiles better

It doesn’t make the missile better, it help compensate but there is a massive gap between r77-1 and aim120b

In my opinion, in this update, it would be worth removing the Su-30MK2 and replacing it with the Su-30SM R-77M, which would be quite fair.
In the next update, add all the other missiles: AIM-120D, MICA-NG, AAM-4B… basically, the best medium-range missiles.
And with the addition of the 5th generation, we could consider strengthening the Eurofighter with an additional missile (+2 for each wing) F-15 EX, Su-35…

Not as large as the gap between R-77-1 and Mica.
Unless we get seeker buffs for other fox 3s, the mica will probably still be the best.

and the massive gap is filled by the platforms, the EF2000 is 100 times better then flankers, you can literally kinectically dodge the R77-1 by cranking from 15km launched at mach 1.2, cant do that against the amraam though from the same speed, other then the accelration and pulling the amraams really are close to the r77-1
12 AMRAAM F-16 seems actually fairly balanced compared to what the US has now. It would be rightly lacking in the speed department, probably closer to the F-2 than the F-16C, but would be the first actually good FM with more than 8x AMRAAMs the US would get.
A great stopgap between the Superhornet and F-15EX that could very reasonably be added in this patch with an AESA radar.

Not from front aspect, and in rear aspect you can do it for every missile + su30sm is capable of going well over mach 1.2, most of my matches I sit at mach 1.35 and I can easily reach mach 1.60 at altitude.
You don’t seme to quite realize just how bad the aim120s, sure the ef2k could be competitive tanks to the flight perfomance, but now that su30sm2 gets the new engines that gap becomes significantly smaller + now that the radar can track from a notch both r-77-1 and R27er will be even more insane, if you thought mica was bad wait till you get the unnotchable r-77-1
