Su-30SM should get the upgraded engines

Read my reply above.

Oh boy, a DEFINITELY trustworthy blogspot that can’t tell the difference between Saturn and Lyulka, let alone an AL-41F and AL-41F-1S!

Especially when they quote someone’s statement from 2022… Directed towards the development of the SM2, which they mentioned multiple times.

You didn’t reply to anything, you linked a blog site that incessantly takes things out of context for the sake of making an article.

Facepalm . Which part of ‘’ This exciting development was shared by the General Director of the Irkutsk Plant, Alexander Veprev, in an interview with the TASS agency ‘’ did you missed ? Or is TASS a blog site too ? Here fist your eyes on it https://tass.ru/interviews/21589559 :

To be fair he talks about SM2 modernization, but imo it not as far fetched for Snail to just change current 30SM for 30SM2, even if partially (as it was done with 27SM)

Nope he talks about the SM2 during the first question, in the last question he specificaly mentions SM, don’t see why he would confuse the two. But yeah we are at point with Gaijin where even if SM was not receiving AL-41 they could easely give it to it since according to Gaijin themselves technical possibility is what matters .

I mean, from context it could be the same SM (SM2) as in the beginning. But yeah, it all semantics and that if Snail willingh - it takenth and it giventh

Which means Su-30SM’s engine is correct, even if the article is correct.

Iirc Su-30SM gets AL-41 on the late production model which is essentially what we’re getting right? Is there a bug report open?

You’re joking, right??

We aren’t getting the SM2, we’re getting the 2000’s 30SM that aligns with early-production models.

More like 2015±, due of 77-1

So you’re saying the MiG-29 would also be a 1990+ aircraft?

Date of service of weaponry is irrelevant to the aircraft, in case you haven’t gotten the hint.

Don’t think anyone argued current engine was not correct ( at least it wasn’t me ). The argument was that SM can receive AL41 .
