Finally Gaijin added a decent top tier premium to Soviet Union to match others and give players a better vehicle, this argument that it’s broken I never heard/readed since Su-34, which Su-30MK2 doesn’t have most of its weapons, I guess Su-30MK2 is just better then. Tornado IDS, specifically IDS is a strike airplane, it’s not a multi-role airplane like Su-30MK2 which makes me think this comparison isn’t fair, although using @Godvana’s suggestion post for the same vehicle (Panavia Tornado IDS SLE), it’s missing some weapons, some isn’t even in the game and others wasn’t included in the vehicle, weapons addition, removal and modification being a balancing feature as well. Tornado IDS SLE would be at battle rating 13.0 at least if all of its weapons would be implemented, specifically AIM-2000 IRIS-T and AIM-120 according to the suggestion post.
Considering that Su-30MK2 is at battle rating 13.3 (for air battles) and Tornado IDS SLE is at battle rating 12.3 is much clear that Gaijin is aware that one can’t compete with other, those are two completely different battle rating, classifications as well. I’m afraid that this post will be close because:

The argument in my opinion is vague, but certainly fair, I don’t have the rights of which opinions is right or wrong but It’s always good to take part of a discussion but this discussion specifically derailed by the 10th reply;

People, instead of discussing about the game are actually fighting each other, this is what most discussions regarding soviet vehicles tend to lead, it never ends in a good discussion with both sides actually considering realistic and fair solutions for the problem.
Su-30MK2 isn’t a top tier vehicle, as it’s at battle rating 13.3 equipped with top tier weapons, makes me reconsider if even top tier should be considered top tier (battle rating 14.3 currently).
I’m talking about the new premium one. It’s 12.3

They are both 12.3 in GRB which is why OP compared them.
They are not equal in either A2A or A2G
Though even in ARB, getting uptiered to fight Su-33 sucks enough as it, but Su-30Mk2s? Really really annoying (and thats from the perspective of the superior GR4 not SLE)

Planes with only IR bombs being same br as kh38 its just madness. The brimston are useless bc you need active lasing.
Not to mention tornado platform its trash.

This being the only, at the moment, counterargument to what I’ve said, and as ground battles itself lives in a hell of compression (honestly, even decompression being always welcome, increasing the cap from battle rating 12.0 to battle rating 12.7 didn’t improved nothing, since only battle rating 11.3 vehicles and above where affected). Their differences in weaponry is clear by their battle rating differences, which I’ll agree with you, a lot is missing and this same a lot missing could be added, hopefully ground battles itself evolve in a way that such weapons can be added accurately.
Far from what I know, I don’t suffer from illiterate and I can recognize two different numbers, in this case being the battle rating values, as I mentioned to @Morvran, these vehicles will be at same battle rating in ground because of compression, although Tornado IDS SLE do have Brimstone SAL, the only thing that prevents it from being battle rating higher is the platform itself and the amount available when compared to the EF-2000. Again, ground battles is compressed and by taking a huge guess here, it will be this state for a more longer time, which I didn’t considered in my initial argument for obvious reasons.

Maybe, but unless we get MMW Brimstones ASAP. Im hardpressed to think of any reason why the Tornado GR4/SLE are any higher than 11.7 tbh, let alone 12.3.

Heck, Su-30Mk2 vs most 13.7s is probably actually kinda fair. If it wasnt compression at 13.7, it should be 13.7.
But given at 13.3 and 13.7 it will face the same aircraft in an uptier, but would prevent 12.3s being dragged up all the time… I think its the lesser of the 2 evils to be 13.7 and not 13.3 (it would also drag 12.7s premiums up which would spare 11.7s from the constant uptier)
