It’s either move slow and turn fast or move fast and turn slow with jets, it’s always been that way, this this can sustain though with its engines and swing wings.
It has three separate RQR’s, so that should be no issue. The SU-25 doesn’t have MAWS or a ground radar (other than the Kopyo on the 39) and it’s got plenty of large caliber flares, just don’t use afterburner when you get a MAWS warning, like in any plane, you cut engine throttle when you know a missiles been launched, this is no different.
Main point of the SU-24M is, stay low, move fast, and strike first, or so be used as a strategic bomber (in air RB) to drop payload and leave.
The USSR build the first two or three models before the fall of the Soviet Union, but the M and M2 variants were Russian upgraded or produced, after the fall of the USSR.
The “M” modification appeared in the USSR, and the end of its modernization indeed fell in 1993. However, the modification itself was developed in the 1970s in the USSR.
The M2 variant was created in Russia, but the original M version first took to the skies back in 1976.
In the game, there’s a USSR tech tree that includes equipment from Russia, which was created in Russia. However, equipment originally created in the USSR remains classified as Soviet, as the main focus of the tech tree is the USSR.
Alright. Then why does the preview specifically feature the Russian Air Force? They could have used the Ukrainian Air Force, Belarusian Air Force, or even the Korean Air Force instead.
SPPU-6s carry GSh-6-23s not 23Ms! And GLONASS guided bombs were introduced for the M2, same with Kh-29TEs. Why is the Kayra-24M missing FLIR? And where are the Fencer B and C?
Well, you said it yourself, the M modification was finished in 1993, post-Soviet Russia, and therefore was (after modification finished) outfitted with the paint schemes of the Russian Ain Force.
Yes, but once the fall of the Soviet Union happened, they repainted their planes in the paint of the Russian Airforce, it’s my personal assumption there is a “optional” paint for the Soviet Air Force (Yellow-Brown and sky blue/Dark-brown of the Syrian conflicts) as a unlockable camo for it when the update goes live. As always, there will be a client side option from the .live you could download.
When the wing loading is quite poor, its turn slow for the Su-24M either way.
What?
The Su-24M MAWS is on the roof of the plane, it can’t see ground launched missiles without tilting the plane. Really only for enemy planes above and level with you, and really isn’t a substitute for simply paying attention.
If you’ve played the Su-39, you know how very niche and generally unused the ground radar is. Really only for occasionally finding an enemy plane, otherwise its left off.
Same GRB tactic as the Su-25T/39, but they do it better with the Vikhrs and L-150 RWR.
