the B should have the active pertective system with essentially the same sensors on the turret cheeks (Added in front of them) with the exact same sensor shape as the Merkavas in game have - and added space on the back right and left for the actual system that does the firing off of things to intercept inmcoming rounds. Just like with the Merkavas. But NOTE THIS IS NOT shown in this image youve p[rovided… That would be the otherwise lame But for better gun maybe A version…
The B would be what id hope war Thunder one day gets to with APS on a Leopard.
But you can find a look at the B version by searching for youtube video named: “Sweden’s Massive Tank Upgrade: Inside the Strv 123 Program” and look @ 4:10 in the YouTube video
( Id link to it but idk about rules for that so) …
You can see its not going to be pretty with all the added systems at least to me its not good looking or well integrated like the Merkava turret allowed for - It looks strapped on… But ive known about this for a while
logic? and I said that I am looking for someone to support my claim because I have no idea where to find the source
but c’mon really, when you look at the size of the breech and compare it to others then it doesn’t make sense why does the round create spall at the start of the breech and said spall then travels through the breech like if it was made of paper
That is not what you have said in the report though. The only thing your report makes it seem like you are claiming is that the round shouldn’t penetrate that area at all (i.e Armor value to low).
I agree with the logic that the breach shouldn’t create spall from the point of entry but rather the point of exit, but then you need to change your bug report to reflect that that is the actual issue.

and I also mean this too though, I think it’s impossible for some rounds to penetrate the whole canon with breech and still keep going (Armor value too low), I think the only rounds plausible to come through should be well above 600mm but since I don’t have data and specifics I can’t state anything
but if you go to the game and test it out with other MBTs, every other vehicle can absolutely survive any round to the said canon/breech area including the round on the object 292 shot point blank
the only exception being some tanks that do get penetrated but the spall does nothing and only knocks out canon and breech which are some chineese WZs and
and I found out one Merkava Mk.4 LIC which shows the same thing as on the Leo 2s while other Merkavas are immune
I think I’ve stumbled upon a breech rabbit hole with a whole lot of inconsistencies now that I dig deeper
Well, it’s an old platform. What we really need is a whole new tank, and I think this latest upgrade should be seen as nothing more than a stopgap.
Crossing my fingers for a brand new system from Hägglunds, but my feeling is that we will see a pan-European project. God knows how many decades that will take though.
I would count on Western ingenuity (and money) to come up with good solutions to that problem, with sufficient protection being given either by integrated systems or provided by supportive platforms.
It will for sure be an important aspect in the development of the next generation of MBTs.
Being anti drone has been one of the biggest selling points of the CV90, the newer versions are even better at it than the previous ones and they have working prototypes that are even better than that. Additionally APS systems and remote weapon stations are also a thing. But that is off topic.
