Is the thermal resolution on the 122’s correct? Even with upgrade packages such as 122C/122D? Feels crazy to me that Sweden would be running old thermal imagers in this day and age
Sadly i think they are correct. The 122’s have been electronically behind for a quite a while.
The upgrade A/B is just mine protection and climate units for international service.
The C/D is mostly a maintenance thing where they changed the communication systems and some “wear and tear” parts (likely things like gaskets/oil/filters/batteries/etc).

I assume 123A has new thermals when they mean “new night vision”?
It would have been pretty obvious considering they would have needed to install new thermals.

for all sense and purposes its a strv brought up to leo2a7v standards
And no its not likely to be added anytime soon, the damn thing just got handed over.
And its more likely for sweden to receive a norwegian 2a8 and the strv123a being forgotten all together
Additionaly strictly speaken the strv123a should have worse armor then the strv122 in game according to gajins logic
I would assume so, the Swedish term “mörkersikten” (roughly “darkness sights”) is sort of an umbrella term that means both night vision and thermal vision at the same time (sort of).

the appearance of the commander thermal changed between 2a5/6 to the 2a7v as far as i am aware
Oh, he was asking if the 122 got upgraded thermals, which i don’t think it did.
yes, to which i stated the upgraded thermals would have been noticeable from the outside
