The top planes need to go up. If you find an aircraft that should go down because of AHMs then raise the BR ceiling. Putting aircraft down is not the solution.

In French service the Rafales never got any HMD until much later on. Its possible gaijin could give it to them, but it would be ahistorical.
Yeah, Germany had no top tier at all.
USSR had nerfed to the ground, inferior planes since the introduction of the F14A. And it’s not like Gaijin lack options either.

Su-30SM and Su-30SM2 still retain the canards, as does the Su-35S, which is the domestic, non-export version. The export version does not have canards. They are in fact helpful, and necessary basically for any PESA or future AESA Flanker given the weight of the radar. The canards are crucial for giving the plane the proper flight characteristics and lift both during take-off and specific AOA’s
But Wisla is not really correct here either. TVC allows a sustained turn rate at “near zero speeds”. TVC is really only useful for these typically unlikely 1v1 dogfight scenarios. TVC outside of that only has a marginal increase to certain maneuvers and AOA’s, that will bleed a ton of speed anyways.
It’s helpful, in the game it will be the only positive aspect of Russian planes until the FM and drag issues are fixed for both the plane and the R-77.
I couldn’t care less about the amount of missiles coming at me, but more so the enemies I have to keep track of. I’d prefer if i wasn’t constantly required to keep my head on a swivel for unposted enemies coming at me from literally every angle. Dealing with 16 enemies is not the same thing as dealing with 8.
the Mig-29 and SU-27 were a menace on release, Especially against players of nations like the UK (Myself) as well as Germany and Italy. Only recently has that shifted to the US.
Still left nations like Germany, UK etc in the dark a bit until now even with former additions like the Tonka and Gripen

The SU-35BN and SU-35S both are used by the RUAF and neither contain canards.
Su-27SM could’ve come whenever, Su-30M or M2 would’ve been just as good, I agree. Only marginal benefit is none of the flankers mentioned in this comment have TVC or canards, so the lighter flight model does help give the Su-27SM a slight edge.
I think that the SU-30M2 would’ve been a less copy paste add since its twin seater while retaining the same capability
Su-35 dont have canards. Never was even.
Su-37 have, but it’s experimental version. Only 2 was built.

The original SU-35, the SU-27M did have canards. The SU-35S and BN are the ones without canards.
Marginal flight characteristic advantage still favors the Su-27SM, so I’m fine with what occured.
But Su-30M/M2 could’ve come instead of the Su-34, and that’s my main point.

I don’t like the SU-35 that much, but I absolutely nerded out about the SU-27M which is the original SU-35 that only had a few production aircraft built.
There should be a higher skill ceiling with higher BRs, that’s kind of the point.
Mig-29 was about EQUAL to the F16A for about two months. It had better SARH and better low speed performance but worse IR missiles and worse high speed performance, with inferior radar and RWR. Then they nerfed the Mig and buffed the F16A.
Su-27 was released during the IRCCM meta. It was completely outperformed by F16C, Mirage 4000 and Gripen, which had reliable turn rate and strong IRCCM missiles, and by the F15A to a smaller extent. The R27ER was completely irrelevant when everyone was hugging the ground, slinging IR missiles at each other. And the R73 was extremely niche in its use since it basically only works with off-bore at less than 1km. It wasn’t completely useless because as long as you had IRCCM missiles, you could play top tier. But it wasn’t strong at all either. Gripen and F16C were the most dominant plane by a landslide.
Stop trying to rewrite the game’s history. I was there, playing all these planes at the time. I know what it looked like. USSR hasn’t been the top dog since the F14A patch. The last time they dominated was with the Mig23MLD.
And in the current Fox 3 meta, they straight up suck.
