It can go either to Italy or Israel, if it doesn’t go to Italy it has to go to Israel.
The US has no connection to that specific modernization and has absolutely 0 needs for it when more advanced F4 Phantom variants like the F4S (late) still have to be added.

Are you aware that Italy and Turkey have a strong history of military cooperation?
Probably a Turkish subtree would have made more sense from this point of view considering the only connection between Italy and Hungary is the plane Heja of the WWII.
Moreover why do you say Italy has no need for a modernized F4, when the only usable top tier jets are three, the F-16 ADF, the Mig29 and the Gripen.
The f104Ss are completely unusable and it’s debatable how much the Mig23 are still meta after the nerf.

Yep, it is completely unrelated to the J-7… some claim (because it is quite similar in design and uses the same engine) that it was based on some information obtained on the MiG-33 (a single engine (single Rd-33) light fighter that never went beyond small scale model wind tunnel testing).

PL-5E-II is a dual band system, something way more capable than anything we have on aircraft in game.

But it’s a PL5 so 30 G plus slightly worse propelling than AIM9 so not as agile but should be the best irccm.
PL-5EII pulls 35g not 30g
