I modified derby ER in to pulse missile. Since in game it uses 38kg of fuel I’m gonna stick with that. As my independent variable is 1 pulse 2 pulse and 3 pulse. Others are the same. My point of simulation is to find the effect of pulse.
It doesn’t, 38kg is just the first stage, the second stage is 18kg
I mistaken said i use 38kg of fuel mass. Ive double check that in my previous sim I did use 36kg+18kg.
Still with 54kg of fuel mass, using your boost profile thats 687Isp.
If we assume 300Isp (which is high for Solid fuel) it will need 124kg of fuel mass…
hmmmm
i think it’d be safe to assume that fuel mass is still larger than the derby er due to the flight control surfaces being different and the electronics becoming smaller while the missile is also probably slightly higher diameter
I don’t think it is larger in size, in fact I think its smaller than derby. Prob the fuel mass do have slight increase (prob max 60kg or 70kg). Isp can be improved by better propellant and chamber pressure. Higher internal temperature can be solved by new materials. These are all possible improvements. One thing I think its quite sure is pulse only increase NEz but not pure max range (by much under ideal condtion). Another important factor is drag, a very slight improvement in drag coefficient exponentially improved the range. Tho, I can’t analyse the drag since IDK CFD yet, would be cool if i could model the drag myself.
I saw some indian source claiming it got 150km NEz, (yea thats 50km more than meteor, I highly doubt that)
