no news about spyder in leaks… looks like we will have a normal spaa (MAYBE) when spyder SR/MR will be added

fr, in new leaks we got FINALLY F-16I :yipee:
I dont want to be that guy but the leak doesnt show new armament so it will just be a pretty much barak d cp with 120

Leaks doesn’t always show us the full picture.
It might come with Python-4 and Popeye.
Also it has much stronger engine than Barack-D (we’re talking about F-15I engine in here).

F-16D BLK 40 empty weight its 9.2 tons this is obviously without fuel just add the fuel and you will have an 12 almost 13 tons F-16 just with fuel, add the ventral fuel tank and you will have 14 tons, add the normal mixed loadout for multirol 4 missiles + 4 Spice and you will have a around 17 tons of weight add the weight of the electronics + radar and you will have 19-20 tons, F-16I SUFA BLOCK 52 HAVE AN EMPTY WEIGHT OF ALMOST 11 TONS ADD THE FUEL YOU WILL HAVE 14 TONS, ADD THE VENTRAL TANK YOU WILL HAVE 16 TONS, ADD THE NORMAL MIXED LOADOUT 4 MISSILES + 4 SPICE AND YOU WILL HAVE 20 TONS AND THATS NOT ALL ADD ALL THE ELECTRONIC WARFARE SUIT + THE WEIGHT OF THE RADAR + THE REINFORCED FUSELAGE AND YOU WILL HAVE THE ALMOST 24 TONS OF WEIGHT FULLY LOADED this is no joke and the afterburning thrust of the PW229 is less than the GE-100 this engine have in some regimes better thrust but this little bit more of thrust means nothing because of the huge amount of weight and also the DRAG that this fuselage would have too, at low speeds it would be literally a COW like the MIG-29SMT or maybe worst, with high speeds yes it would pull a kind of decent AoA but that AoA would be just an instant because you would bleed all your speed and energy way faster than in the D Blk 40.

gonna be truly disappointed if the Sufa wont get a derby-er atleast
am not even asking for the I-Derby ER am asking for the Python-4 to have a chance agains a RAFALE in close quarters atleast otherwise it would completly demolished its literally the 13.3 D Block 40 in higher br with similar or even less performance in some regards.

This meta favors fox 3 and derby pulls very decent amount of gs anyway so u could somewhat fight the rafale in short and long ranges
The problem is that derby loses its lock just before it hits for no reason in high g manuver

i would rather prefer to have both one for short and one for long range, the MICA does the short and the long all in one + the stupxd flight performance that the rafale have soo… not even the I-Derby ER will save us with the poor flight performance that sufa would have, its not a jet prepared to be a BVR machine like i said this jets is heavily oriented to ground pound it would not be good to fight other way more capable jets.
Mica is the worst fox 3 for long range so not rly

For the derby er it can be very good missile both for bvr and short range cuz it has alot of thrust to make up to ur fp

the I-Derby ER would not solve our problems and also there is no proper evidence that the SUFA could use it we just have a brochure from Rafael saying it is compatible and nothing more, not even photographic or video evidence that it can carry and use this missile soo… i recommend you to not be excited and take the I-Derby ER thing with a huge grain of salt, like i said i rather prefer to have a strong IR missile like the Python-4 that would help a lot the sufa in close range engagements and have just AMRAAMs like normally the SUFA does for medium and long range, this is the OG loadout of the SUFA and it is historically correct.

Derby is at least saveable
for gaijin its not enough a brochure and this is prefectly known, they need more than that, we have more chances to report and get passed to devs the Rafael Stunner the Air to air variant for the sufa than the I-Derby ER.
the Python-4 being even in a similar state like the Python-5 it is right now its better than the 9M i would rather have it like this than not have it at all.

one thing is to use them for stats when there is nothing more public avaible because a lot of things are classified and other thing is to use them to prove the existence of something being installed in a jet when there is no photographic or video evidence of that to complement it.
If rafael said it can take it then it should be enough
In general all israel new f16s can take it of not f15s too
its not enough the only reason that the F-16C and D we have got the Derbys is because i am the one who made those 2 reports and also its because there is photographic and video evidence, gaijin would always want this not just a brochure claiming something that it cannot be proved.
