I found to make my Missiles usable within range, I climb a rock and angle my launcher as far down as I can, seems to make it work better at close range, flips the radar though.

IME P5 is the only remotely usable missile, and even that is only good to 7km MAX. This is one of the most aerodynamically clean missiles ever made why does it have so much drag? Why is it still wobbling, any energy it would have is lost almost immediately. IRIS-T doesnt seem to have this issue (both are vertically launched so it’s a good metric) derby also still doesnt project a radar cone, it tracks entirely off of the exMHR on the Spyder and if you try to fire more than one they almost instantly lose lock.

I heard you guys might want a TWS ESA. So I did.

Romania is about to get a spyder so maybe italy could get it and the playerbase that wants accurate spyder will grow
It will probably take some time tho

India and Thailand use it too. Japan and Britain could get them. Also Malaysia (where would this even go)

Thailand uses MICA dont they?

They use Python as their IR missile of choice but opt for MICA for BVR much like India

But I think SPYDER is compatible with MICA in the Derby slot. (Ive heard India uses MICAs on SPYDER LR systems no confirmation tho)

Italy and France are much more likely to get their SAMP-T than ever getting a Spyder from a sub-nation. Similarly, Japan will much more likely get the Type 03 Chu-SAM over a Thai Spyder.

and dont forget they make the wrong radar module (bruh)

I agree Japan and France likely won’t get SPYDER but Italy is a possibility at least.

No I mean for Air Defence

Think they use both. But I might be wrong

Hold up I’ll check

I was wrong, Thailand Does use Python but not SPYDER

one I posted was the VL MICA Air Defence they bought a couple years ago

Frankly I don’t mind the travelling beams so much. The error they need to fix is that AESA radars (and Gaijini actually implemented that on jets that use such radars) will do two things at once:
1.) Scan
2.) Update TWS targets. The latter is done at a very high rate.
So even if the beam would only pass a target every 1-2 seconds (which would still be extremely slow, even more so if looking only at a 90degree slice), all detected targets that are being tracked would be updated many times per second (each).
Take out a Kfir C.10 or a Rafale for a spin and you will see how, albeit also having a travelling scan, will always perfectly track anything recognized by TWS instead of them jumping like for the Spyder.
They really need to fix this urgently.

Edit: See also “TWS ESA” in the radar details of the Kfir C.10

But, that’s what my report is about? Adding TWS ESA?
And what you just said about AESA radar is quite a simplification. Not all work on the same principle.
