Do you know how to manually stash / raise missile launcher?
I have already seen a F-2A, Spyder, multiple CLAWS, CS/SA5 and multiple SLMs in my games today. Sometimes people get excited enough about a vehicle to unlock it through alternative ways.
Hell F-16D Barak II also nuked me with a spice earlier today.
But we didn’t get the I-DERBY ER, right?
Spice is in the game?? Damn didn’t see that one coming.
It would be OP in Gaijin’s standards, only Pantsir can be the best SPAA in the game comrade!

This is not true, it’s capable of LOAL and this is how it preforms such a function.

Worst-est isn’t a word, and this not the worst SPYDER system, it just happens to be in a poor state thanks to gaijin
That’s not true, LOAL can be performed without DL, that’s how the IRIS-T performs LOAL as well.
I am unable to find any keybind to manually perform this, rather unfortunately it seems automatic. I too would like the option to stow it away sometimes.
No ER, just a badly botched Python, and an SR which feels genuinely useless against anything other than strike drones.
I GE’d it. Been begging for AIO for years on forums, I can’t tolerate a single additional second of being stuck with Machbet/Chap at top tier lol.
I’m going to play this thing extensively, so I consider it a worthwhile investment. More mentally enjoyable for me to just do a couple hours overtime at work for the pocket money to skip it, then spend lord knows how many hours slogging through KH38 hellscape to grind it.
Considering the price of top tier prems these days, 9k GE for a top tier AA aint too bad.

Lmao, you’re not wrong. My first game in it I took down 7 planes and didn’t die, and it’s been all downhill from there.
Aye, it’s not really something I make a habit of or particularly recommend. Only a few Magachs away from fully completing all ISR tree’s, and Spyder is the first time I’ve resorted to GE skipping.
Just been too excited for it, for far too long to wait anymore than I have too.
(Which makes it all the more disappointing to see the woeful state it’s in)

I have seen 1 spyder in my games so far and it got instantly clapped by a Rafale that it couldn’t do anything against.
That left a great impression of course.
Fair, there are certain vehicles that I would also GE whenever Gaijin finally adds them. I probably would have GEd it as well if it came with Derby-ERs.

In a game earlier, I had a Typhoon just circling right above me, staying within 1.5-2km, so I could do nothing about him due to deadzone.
After enough passes he eventually strafed me to death lol.
I fail to understand how it would even be capable of acquiring a target that way then, seeing as even ARH missiles need to be fired in a state which the seeker is already on during launch if it lacks the ability to be feed datalink. If it’s searching after launch in the suspected direction and range, there would be a high chance it locks the wrong target, no?
From my very limited sample size of games thus far, definitely feels like Spyder excels on urban maps, which is somewhat of a rarity for AA.
On open maps, you’re so big you can’t hide, and no smokes mean you just eat everything thrown at you.
On urban maps though, CAS is forced to get closer, you have plenty of vertical cover, and your radar skyscraper often extends above cover anyway. Can just lob Pythons up whilst being largely hidden.

Me neither, it’s honestly kind of annoying watching it constantly fold and unfold.
Perhaps it might be worth making a proper suggestion to have a new key bind added for launcher raise / lowering.
