Let’s congratulate the Israeli tech tree for being the first one to bite the dust. In the last major update of 2025, everyone else received new top-tier AESA/PESA radars, but Israel? Oh, turns out they just got a C&P Merkava MK1 tank! So, what about the new air defense systems? Nope. And the Derby ER missiles for the Spyder AIO? Not happening either. It’s all over.

Its not that complicated. Gaijin simply released “good enough” vehicle and moved their resources onto another “good enough” vehicle to keep up with release schedule, as maintaining Grind Furnace lit is their top priority.
Any vehicle performance related bug reports (actual ESA radar, Derpy ER for Spyder) would be considered if vehicle was deemed underperforming. Unfortunately playing as spotting tree inflates stats high enough to warrant current BR in current configuration, unlike US CLAWS which was moved down despite being superior vehicle with superior missiles.

oof, trust me it’s not that easy to spot and scout with that first you have to expose the driver and other crews along your exhaust, and maybe you find a spot where you can only expose your camera and then here’s the problem: 90% of player actually see you through thermals anyways and 1 HE round later you’re done
At this point I really take Pantsir as a replacement for Spyder, even if it comes with 12.7 BR
I really appreciate you asking and investigating the Spyder further with the CMs but don’t apologize for the pings like these it’s the only thing they should be looking into, I’m already surprised they haven’t paid enough attention to this thread

Entire forum daily pings CMs hundreds of times, its not difficult to develop habit of ignoring “notifications”.
it should definitely be this update that they add these so called “options” it needs fixed…like how it should’ve on release
got all these other anti-air being added I don’t see why they don’t buff spyder/fix it
look, what i only want is for it to be ACTUALLY mid range AA (I-Derby ER yes), not like a damn SPYDER SR

completely agree. it’s got nothing compared to the other AA’s on range. let alone radar capability since its schizophrenically all over the place locking non existing CAS

It’s honestly so unacceptable how Gaijin dropped it. It 100% should be this update and not the next. The response from the CMs and the utter fight its been. I don’t really care about the Merkava or Namers getting any buffs because they are playable. But SYDER is such a sad sad vehicle.

please, gaijin. fix python 5 and give spyder I-Derby ER… i just want a good mid range anti air, we did not just wait 3 years for an anti air just for it to be COMPLETELY Butchered.

I would honestly be willing to wager 100 bucks with any Gaijin dev or CM that if they can’t get 10 kills in 10 games without using backups or targeting drones, then they gotta reexamine SPYDER as a whole.

they can get only 2 kills in 10 matches in the SPYDER and they still wont care, trust me.
Prediction next Update: Instead of fixing the AIO, Gaijin adds another SPAA for Israel: the multi vehicle version of the Spyder with the I-Derby ER, doesn’t add the missile to the AIO or make any fixes and calls it a day
If anything, it will be MR, because it does not involve a dual pulse motor.
