which leaves us in the existing pattern: SPAA is dead, CAP (and TY-90 helis) is the only anti-air besides Pantsir … again confirming what I said: The new SPAAs are DOA and this will be one of the most underwhelming updates of the past years
this happens when you shoot pythons at hostiles in a furball of randomly flying AI jets with no flares. just in case anyone thinks python 5 don’t miss their target
But that doesn’t justify the so called ‘I’ll take 2S6 over it’ or ‘I’ll take 9K37 over it’. I am not saying it is amazing, which it probably should have been, but there is also a reason air superiority matters so much and that CAP/TY-90 cost u a fortune.
SPAAs are pretty DOA at this point, even Pantsirs struggle against any player with good knowledge of how to play. But that doesn’t justify lower BR for SPYDER.
Just regarding that, I have an idea of making the lock circle smaller, more akin to R-27ET size.
I’m pretty sure it already has a narrow seekers. That’s not the problem here. The problem is that it doesn’t see the target at launch, it performs LOAL. And then, the friendly engine, or a flare, will be hotter than the actual target which usually is coming at you (front aspect). As said, once it has locked a target, its unlikely to lose it. But due to LOAL it will lock onto the wrong target.
after 8km it can be outran or dodged by rolling
SPYDER IS VERY GOOD!
You have literally 0 chance of surviving a spyder unless you have a drunk person against you
Rockets are a disgrace
MI-28 KA-52 will slap your cheeks
All the people who post here that you should be happy, you should be happy that you get radar with nasty missiles. Then, when the developers don’t change anything, well you are glad… Do not be surprised
It’s like getting your ass kicked. But you’re happy about it.
An SPAA that’s not Russian is gimped to the ground?? How am i not surprised.
Regarding the russian helicopter DIRCM issue relative to IIR, i don’t know if that can help, but i have this :
https://www.spie.org/news/5614-ir-imaging-seekers-may-be-very-resistant-to-laser-jamming
i get it could be a massive bummer but im sorry, i dont see how saying all this stuff instead of looking for sources and reporting issues will help
everything subject to change even on the live server, we got a shot in this change
You’ve got a 2 year old complex, there’s almost no information about it other than the Rafale broschur.
All the possible information was given to the developer, everyone got the obvious answer “NOT AN ERROR”
The developer once again improves the USSR’s tech and gives the rest of us nothing, well Spyder, it’s literally nothing
That’s the problem with entering a technique that came out very recently, you don’t have anything to improve it in terms of documents, and the developers will degrade it, for the reason that it’s not a USSR technique
If you think I didn’t write to rafal or Israeli rafal, you’re wrong, they just won’t tell us anything about this complex and we’ll never see what we need to see
I’ve scoured tons of Chinese forums, but I haven’t found anything useful. We only have bugs inside the game and that’s it. Will the developers want to give anything to spyder-no.
Right now, Spyder missiles are easier to shoot off an airplane. Than Spyder, shoot down the missiles that the airplane fired at you, if it fired 4 x-38s at you, you die.
Your missiles will literally miss
That study has its own limitations. When it gets closer the DIRCM will practically cover most of the screen and with flares it will practically have a white screen. Has to basically rely of IOG to sustain the flight.
ah, the very finished “weapons//short”
theres no point in this discussion anymore
good day.
I have made a bug report for the Python 5’s ability to withstand DIRCM
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/k1axXgZcmL70
I’ll post about it when it comes out in the game. We’ll laugh together).
I have personally seen the files, the Spyder uses the “Python_5” and “Derby” (not I-Derby, it is the original air launched version)
