Everyone except Israel, Germany and Sweden gets LDIRCM tomorrow, which means they will be 99% immune to IRIS-T.
SLM is a struggle bus at this point, as if the lock range nerf wasn’t bad enough, since you have to guide the missile for so long to get a lock, all it takes to dodge it is not to be pinged by the radar. Fly low, and you defeat it.
Datalink doesn’t work either, so if a missile loses radar contact it will go dumb and fly on IOG, it doesn’t matter if the radar sees the target again, the missile has no recollection of what it was targeting previously.
Not to mention that this thing struggles to intercept cold targets because the radar (which sucks) can’t give course corrections fast enough to hit anything in the air, the missiles won’t lock onto cold targets, only fast moving missiles like Kh-38s but that’s about it.
You could put any top tier spaa even the nasam. Ldircm inmune against anything except saclos.
At least irist is good against far planes

It used to be, not anymore after Gaijin nerfed this thing hard against far away targets. We went from 9-12 km lock to 4 km in all aspects (from a seeker that can do 20 km IRL). It’s impossible for anyone to die unless they are flying high or fly in a straight line like idiots.

Yup, they did that last update. The switch to IR has been shortened massively, and it’s almost entirely dependent on radar guidance.

Yeah this update is another sad pass for me. I’ll take my copy paste merkava mk1 (that should’ve already been in the tech tree) not a single fix or buff for spyder at all, WHICH IS JUST WOW BRAVO!👏👏👏👏 But hey let’s focus more premium slop at 10.0 for Russia. Im really starting to get burnt out on this game with the favoritism.

Really starting to feel that way with how little effort they’ve put into it (edit) I find it really sad with how actual little time they’ve modeled the merkava or namers. I mean especially the namers case, That thing is 65 tons of literal slow moving paper garbage that’s literally useless the first 30 seconds your in it cause someone shoots your ammo out and makes you literally useless to the team for the rest of the duration that your alive (if you haven’t j’d out already) but hey the bmpt can be at just 48 tons, be a whole BR lower, have way more weapon capabilities along with an ammo box, is covered in relikt and spall liners and overall way superior armor coverage. And is justified that is needs to sit at 10.3 while namer sits at 11.3 even one point was at 11.7 I’m pretty sure but don’t quote me on that. The point still stands there is definitive proof of bias or favoritism to other nations over others. Which for anyone who says otherwise. Your blind or rage baiting

Norway, Spain, the United States, the Netherlands, Finland, Oman, Lithuania, Indonesia, Australia, Qatar, Hungary, Israel and Ukraine use NASAMS and SLAMRAAMs. It’s confirmed that all of these nations own at least some. Every NATO nation in WT is able to get these through subtrees or by themselves. Gaijin just adds “unique” pile of shit on the fan, thinking people like that type of unique, while when asked to add a unique SPG or some other stuff not for balance reasons - eat a pile of stinky M55 that doesn’t pen or deal effectively more damage than M44 and has like 2.5 times slower reload and that’s all you get.
There’s also a variant of standalone NASAMS TELAR with both radar and missile.
That is a NOMADS, not a NASAMS.
Uses a different radar, and as of right now IRIS-T as a missile.
Also first time hearing Israel has NASAMS.

Whelp, my apologies. Causally spread misinformation in that one.
Actually there’s no info on Israel ever using NASAMs, though they have everything to do so, they just have better stuff right now.
Oshkosh and Rafael did a bunch of “shove a fast boomstick on a sand moving car” ideas and many were built. And Iron Dome exists, I want it in WT just to mess with soviet mains, my Israel is 6.3 ground.
