BTR82 @ 9.0 to replace the BMP3 for the Object279 lineup. Shame it might not have an ATGM sight, though.

that’s the issue, if Gaijin wanted they could have found options far faster, Spain’s Roland 1 and Roland 2s for example. The fact they they left them with what is basically a 2S38 with a search radar as a “top tier” SPAA for so long is absurd.

It should realistically be 9.0, with or without a separate ATGM sight.
The ATGM is the same as the one on the BMP-2M (9M133, tandem with 1200mm pen) and the gun has at least the same amount of pen as the regular BMP-2, which is at 8.7.
A higher BR would depend on the 30mm ammo, not on the availability of an ATGM sight

I disagree, if it has ATGM sight then it will be able to shoot safely from behind cover and enemy can’t shoot back. I expect it to be 10.0 right next to the Bradley if it does get ATGM sight.
The closest comparable vehicles would be the AFT09 (9.0) and the ZT3A2 (8.3), both of them lack an autocannon.
Unless they give the BTR better autocannon ammo it would just be a sidegrade to the AFT09.

I wasn’t aware USSR had the AFT09, lol. AFT09 is still number #1, eitherway. ATGM sight for BTR82 or not. AFT09 tanks hits like a boss, and has 4x ATGM ready to sling. But they perform different roles. The BTR82 will be a replacement of the BMP3 that was moved up. So I’m happy, either way.

Well it exists online, you can find it with a single google search, it states that the autoloader remains at a ~7s reload
I know the USSR doesn’t have the AFT09, what I was trying to say is that this BTR makes certain trade-offs that I believe would make it pretty equivalent to the AFT09 in terms of balance.

The T80UD man, just got it the other day and it absolutely slams for a 10.3
Working my way to a 2.0 KD with it already, as well as using it in a 10.7 lineup with tbe 80b, su25BM, 292 and turms.
Genuinely thought it was gonna be like a more armoured T72, i was wrong.
