Spawn point cost of specific secondaries needs to be adjusted hard. The cost of bringing some absolutely awful weapons like HVARs (which also cause insane drag) is higher than bringing a ton worth of bombs
I agree. And helis should not be available at the start of the game
I think the default spawn cost of aircraft is fine where it is, its the munitions and loadouts that need to be balanced. 60 rounds of mk-103 is 158 sp, and 2 1000lb bombs are 91 sp when it should be the other way around.
The SP cost for bombs, guided munitions, and other anti tank weaponry need to be increased to the 750+ sp range.
Helicopter rushing isn’t an issue unless it’s against the KA-50 which has been modeled to allow killing after marked death. Aircraft should be updated to not allow control after death has been counted as this is what tanks have to deal with once crew is reduced to 1 despite the tank possibly still being fine and able to move.
I just feel like the solution is to spawn as AA and be a team player.

At the end of the day, ground is what CAS planes are built for in War Thunder. They have no other place in this game, as their contributions in Air RB is frankly pathetic and not worth investing time into.
If you want CAS aircraft out of ground, or unusable in ground, then you have to fix them elsewhere.

I find it endlessly funny that CAS players are the ones telling the people they bomb with near-impunity that they need to “get good”.

I tried it. Even with three AA in my setup. When the CAS spam comes you are fast food. You kill one plane. Another is right behind ya and you cant even turn the turret fast enough. I love AA and I got even rounds with 8 planes down.
Another problem is that many players react to the spam with AA at the same time. All planes gone … now you got a team full of AA versus enemy tanks.
I have no problem with planes at all. But this stupid revenge bombing and spam makes no sense and is out of balance.
Some players even rush to kill one tank and hope they get killed fast too. There are matches you got at least two enemy planes after two minutes in the air.
Main problem I see is that players are given the power to be almost untouchable and they like this feelin. Btw you don’t get as many points if you kill the same amount of planes as tanks. Not that fair in my eye because gettin good at AA takes more practise and skill.

You really want cas to cost 1500-2000 spawn points? 90% of players get those numbers 1 out of 10 matches, it will kill pure attackers. Even if people got to those numbers regularly, it’s a lot easier to spend 70SP to spawn pantsir or any other SPAA and kill the plane that just spend his entire SP balance.
I think this is very unlikely, because tanks never get “killed” by component loss, which is what causes aircraft to be marked as killed.
The Kamov is in a pretty weird situation because it can “fly” without its tail, which is what you’re usually seeing. IRL I believe it becomes so difficult to fly it as an attack helicopter without the tail and you just have to limp back and land, albeit more easily than another heli that lost its tail (who can fly like a fixed-wing sorta.)
Given that war thunder pilots with their mouse aim are perfect though… no idea how you change this.
