Sovetsky Soyuz: Red Oceans

Battleship “Slava” is very similar in her characteristics to the “Ikoma”.)
And in any case, for the Russian Navy this ship is as legendary as the recently “passed” Mikasa for IJN.

I can’t agree, especially since the aforementioned “Ikoma” plays quite well.

Because it is at a nice low BR where it can monster DD’s - especially with the new aiming system - I know it well because I wrote most of the old wiki article on it!

But that is 1 ship - and its weakness es are hidden by being among a lot of newer ships.

Start having more pre-WW1 ships in games and things like lack of AA and lack of speed will become proportionally more evident.

So no South Dakota class? :(

It’s a rule for every in-game nation, in case of Italy for example all incomplete ships are completely unnecessary, only Caracciolo was considered something needed, but in the way it’s eventually implemented it became kinda pointless.
PS I still hope they’ll reconsider this naval special treatment and hide all incomplete ships (and change project refits to existed ones), instead they could remove that rule of same ship can’t be in different nations TTs and add Guilio Cesare and Regina Maria.

Which would be quite proportional to the same “Mikasa”. And not counting the fact that “Slava” had AA-guns - many later ships in the game have fewer of them.)
Of course, this won’t make her jump above her head… But she will still have her place in the game.
Moreover, I repeat, she is one of the true-legends - and if this is possible for the IJN, then Russian Navy has the right to the same.

Indeed - a contemporary - not a fast patrol boat from 50 years later!

And such guns were sooooooo effective… you are going to put these at 6.0 and above - they will face jets.

No one has any such “rights” - we get what Gaijin gives us - mostly I suspect it is what they have detailed plans for.

And Ikoma is no legend - so if you are going to make comparisons then you also get “not legendary” :p

Mind you everything at Tsushima qualifies as “not legendary” I suppose…

That “if” there is key 😝

Thanks god soviet engineers, after generous application of vodka, didnt promise twenty 500 mm guns aboard of this vessel and the ability to submerge.
Gaijin would 100% implement it…

Honestly. I start to think that glabalajoob tries to rush more modern ships which tend to be more popular now just cuz they are modern

Dont get me wrong smth like yamayo, iowa and bismarck are very popular which means profit from premium

@Rileyy3437-live do you have any info regarding this shell? including the AP shell, just in the very likely chance these become virtually incomparable to any other shell in the game

AP will perform similar to Iowa’s in terms of 10 km penetration with about 1/3 more explosive filler, and SAP will have similar penetration with Kronshtadt’s AP with 88 kg filler.

like the scharn having bismarcks guns despite never using it

The guns were mostly built, and 1 was proofed and used in defence of Leningrad.

They would have had very high muzzle velocity and very low barrel life - but WT doesn’t make that a disadvantage.

I don’t know anything about them thats not on Navyweps which lists the SAP shell.

SAP shell doesn’t seem too nuts when you consider Russia was even worse than Italy for having ludicrously powerful naval guns that would very quickly wear out. Best we can hope for is poor dispersion.

SAP also doesn’t seem too nuts when you look at the US 16"/50 Heavy Common shell given that that shell is 250kg lighter.

The historical disadvantages will not be reflected here, unfortunate but I don’t see how you’d reflect it anyway.

There is naval ec every thursday till sunday although unfortunately on day with arcade mechanics (aiming, reload of torpedos and bombs for bombers) which is dumb imo, some space climbing bomber can just sit above your whole team and nuke every bb that spawns and doesnt even have to go back to the runway to rearm.

The rb ec is just awesome if you can spare 1-2 hours. The way naval should be played, where you can pick engagements (somehow, because ofc snail party needed to fuck that up to by putting some enemy spawnpoints right in front of your harbors on some maps for some dumb reason) and youve got space to maneuver and use the mobility of lesser armored ships to avoid enemies you can do nothing to.

gaijin: we upped the bot count to 32 per match, so u can get a match without a long queue waiting time

Been waiting 30 minutes for a match on EU server

gj gaijin u make a feature that doesnt work

Ladies and gentlemen, Naval in 2025.

It’s also kinda weird because as far as i can remember before they changed the bots to be not only low tier destroyers and pt boats and the hull compartment mechanics the queues weren that crazy. About maybe 5 minutes max to find a match, sometimes almost instant (on eu servers and i think even better when enabling other regions cause lag doesnt really matter much in naval), but with only like 5 players per team sometimes, which was fine especially on the open sea maps you wouldnt be instant targeted by 4 enemy players. Then it seems player numbers took a huge dip and now in preparation for the upcoming chonkers the numbers seem to go up again (me happy about that). Weird cause the addition of slower bb bots that dont just randomly speed into the caps and decide matches randomly was a good thing imo.

@Stona_WT @Smin1080p_WT Do I need to use bug report or forum section about this ship to report modelling problem, as this is neither in live nor dev server. It’s quite big mistake so I should tell Gaijin about this problem.

why you dont have all servers selected, you get a match in less than a minute
