Gotta be bait.
This argument has been done to death on the forums and beyond, even Gaijin has made an official position.
South Korea does not and will never work as a subtree for Japan. Full stop.

quick reminder that back in the day gaijin also said that there will never be top tier premiums in the game, quit being delusional
Problem with this is Thailand is already a confirmed and implemented subtree for Japan, yet you are still pushing it to Japan? And you tell me Im the delusional one lol
i don’t see any thai tanks in the ground tech tree, can you guess why? because they have nothing special to offer and soviet vehicles will never be implemented into japanese tech tree, even in a form of an sub tree
Thats if you dont actually try to look at the Thai subtree suggestion, did you even look?
Top tier is often defined as the very top BR, like 14.0. There is no premium and there never was one that hit the maximum BR at its time. SK for Japan was denied more than enough times, and for obvious reasons
yeeeah right buddy
When making a sub tree, gaijin has to consider the relationship between the main nation and the potential nation being added to the subtree.
Gaijin wont add SK to Japan, despite the fact that they are geographically close, because of Korea’s bloody history with Japan, and the fact that technologically, South Korea never based anything it produced off of Japanese technology. It’d make more sense for SK to go to USA, as they have close cultural, diplomatic, military and technological relationships.
However i believe that a United Korea Tech Tree would be more fitting for nations like South Korea and North Korea.
No. The only reason why subtrees exist is to bolster another tree that is close to running out of options. China doesn’t need a subtree, it has more than enough options.
May I introduce you to the Chinese TT. You already got F-16s and “Su-27s” in it. At some point, we’re gonna get the Abrams in it too.
If we’re going off of the political landscape to choose, SK very grudgingly maintains a cooperation with Japan. In case you didn’t know, Japan occupied Korea for 35 years, and let’s just say, that occupation makes modern day conflicts look peaceful.
Also, once again the PRC and ROC are both in the Chinese TT and they fought in a civil war for 14 years (plus a 9 year gap) and were “this” close to fighting again couple months ago. I would say, NK’s closest political ally is actually Russia, not China.
pretty sure Koreans hate Japan more, for reasons stated above. If they have to choose, I’m confident they would rather go with a United Korea TT
i don’t see any thai tanks in the ground tech tree, can you guess why?
That’s because the Thai Ground TT is not implemented yet, not because there some “conspiracy” to deny vehicles of “Soviet” origin to the Japanese TT. Oh btw the “Soviet” vehicles Thailand operated are overwhelmingly of Ukrainian origin NOT Soviet/Russian origin
A separate South Korean tree would just end up being a boring Israel 2.0.
Bad analogy. South Korea has way more unique vehicles even aircraft than Israel does that’s not a derivative of an existing vehicle
Also I would find this hilarious if it’s not also sad at the same time since the “SoUtH kOrEa ShOuLd Be A jApAnEsE sUb-TrEe” types try to use every flawed reasoning under the sun to justify it even if it’s regularly debunked while at the same time consistently dismissing ASEAN nations despite the fact that (some) ASEAN nations have way more justification to be a part of the Japanese TT as a subtree than SK ever would
