well if the finnish had their hornets upgraded, why not?

USN has BOL and put it on their hornets a long time ago.
Not to mention ATFLIR @ron_23 which I think is on German hornet but not US, same like AAS-38B which isn’t on US C early
and what difference does that make ingame, besides the TGP looking a bit different
When fixed it will be decent pod. And still a capability missing for no reason

Ok this addition is litterly just a pendering toward german main I feel like. First last patch most people realized that f-18c late and especially the sweadish one CAN NOT compete at 14.0, they asked gaijin to lower the f18c late to 13.7 and give the sweadish one hmd but gaijin just said it is fine. Now that this update drops, germany now get the eurofighter which is the second best jet in the game and the new f-18c with aim120c-5. However sweaden have to cope with a f18 with no hmd and usa (well player kinda suck a bit) f-18 just get farmed by the rafale or eurofighter since it just perform worst then other two. And for people who cry about how typhoon didn’t receive the aim120c-5, personally I do agree giving them that would be great since it does have it irl but never the aim120b. But for the sake of game balance, it shouldn’t since it would just power creep everything else into oblivion. And before anyone accuse me of being a us main, please go look in statshark on israeli f-15I winrate, there is no way that israeli players are also just bad at the game right? Or like does people who play usa and israeli tectree are just automatically bad at the game?

in fact the f15E and I need a specific buff for the plane, but I still think that the addition of the aim120C is a huge balancing error, the problem is in the platform not in the missiles.
If only one plane were to receive the AIM120C, let it be the F18C.
both the F15I/E and Baz meshupar’s victory rate are low, including the improved F15C, Baz’s is the lowest of the F15C (and even so the gaijin will kill the plane again)
If fixed (very possible they forget), better zoom and 3rd gen thermals.
Comes at the cost of an AMRAAM however.

from what i experienced the aim120c-5 are extremly good and without chaff/ multipathing not realy notchable with a stock f/a18 mlu 2
Any missile is good without chaff and multipath
Still a fact, and C5 is already gimped to the ground so its not a buff anymore.

doesn’t it have a similar seeker as the 120A/B in the files?
Unless they were changed it again in todays dev update.
They made the seeker fov smaller I think, closer to MICA now

It was like that, but yesterday or the day before that they changed it back to be identical to the 120A/B. I don’t think they changed it back yet.
