Why the JPz 4-5 should receive the active scouting ability:

In-game reasons:
The official JPz 4‑5 page describes it as a very mobile, lightly armoured cannon tank destroyer whose strength is quickly taking forward ambush positions, not trading blows on the frontline. (Quote Warthunder Wiki).
It plays closer to a glass‑cannon (and not even a very good one, with the underperforming HEATFS round) scout/ambusher (Due to it’s thin armor and high mobility) than to the classic heavily armored TDs.(Spookston’s video shows this).
The community has pointed out that the JPz 4‑5’s light armour and ease of destruction make it more similar to a scout vehicle than a brawler.
Other lightly armoured tank destroyers already benefit from scouting under the “select few TDs” clause
Active scouting is one of the main tools that makes fragile vehicles worth taking over more survivable mediums/heavies. Especially for the JPz 4-5, with it’s thin armour and mid HEATFS

Historical Reasons:
The conversion of the JPz 4-5 into Beobachtungspanzer shows how the platform was very much capable of the reconnaissance role.
The Bundeswehr adopted the Kanonenjagdpanzer 4‑5 specifically as a mobile anti‑tank platform against Warsaw Pact armour, using mobility and low silhouette to get into position, such vehicles depended on spotting enemies early, relaying information, and striking from prepared positions.

I’m going to say yes. If M18 easily much more powerful tank destroyer even though Gaijin wants to act like it is a light tank. If it can get it then so should JPz 4-5.
Also it is so similar to ASU-85 that also has scout. 4-5 is faster but I much rather use that amazing 85mm APHE. And if it would become too powerful something that I doubt would happen they could just move it back to 6.7

i forgot to mention how it could just be moved up to 6.7 if the devs thinks it’s now too powerful! u get me brother😭

Side note: the ASU 85 which is roughly the same BR, roughly the same role in-game, roughly the same armour and roughly the same pen, has the scout ability… so WHY DOESNT THE Jpz 4-5 GET IT!!!
