This is true, but doesnt the japanese f5 gets 9j at the same br ? Plus those missiles arent that op still one pop flares afaik, considering were facing a bunch of “high” over 10g missiles

F5 is not a plane for missiles

9j is a huge upgrade over 9e, it would be much more beneficial. And also, f5e fcu is also very potent with its missile kit

pull doesnt matter if the missile doesnt have IRCCM
if you can kill your enemy with sidewinder without IRCCM you dont need any extra pull than 10G because they MUST be unaware.

9e is more like a 9j, pretty sure they have the same motor, just different fins and seekerhead

its not undertiered, it would be overtiered if it got 9j because it would move to 11.0 and the 9j would bring no benefit

F5E and Swedish F5 with aim9l are at 11.0 now, there is no reason to increase its br, not to mention that the f5a in chinese tech tree already has aim9j and stays at 10.7.

Makes a lot of sense to me, since the chinese counterpart f5a already got aim9j while being at the same br.

If you still want to call the plane F-5C , you have to delete flares as well and at max have it with AIM-9E.
If you want to rename it to F-5A, under another nation’s airforce as a premium for US it can have flares, AIM-9Ls , AIM-9P-5s or whatever…and give it a F-5C skin and leave it there.
Already with the flares , it’s not F-5C… VNAF never used flares or AIM-9J or whatever, even if you go by the fact that the planes were used by VNAF.
Yes , other F-5As may had many things… just not this plane, by the name F-5C.
