Fundamentally that is their goal. Gaijin is a business, the purpose of warthunder isn’t to make a “good” game, but rather a profitable one. I personally kinda like this style of premium, if you don’t get it you’re not missing out on anything. And if you don’t like the anime-vibes there’s an alternative available.
Mmm, Honestly I don’t think they’re too bad, the US one could use a top, but I kinda see what they’re going for with it (stereotypical valley girl/Miami beach goer, but soldier!!!). The Russian one is objectively the best though IMO.
This I agree with.
In a world like War Thunder though, there really isn’t any character at all. So they just push hot ladies when they can. In other games I think its more of a problem. I would’ve preferred, for example, Santa’s Helpers to NOT be oversexualised. They had no reason to, they weren’t purchaseable.
You can make a game profitable without being predatory. I don’t care that money is a goal, I do care that money is the only goal.
I think it would’ve been better if it was just merged into the existing pack instead. Don’t like the skin you got for free (because you already own the vehicle), don’t use it!
There actually kinda already is, just look at the profile icons ingame
Most of the time, the characters in the icons (not the historic ones) are represented in a uniform or outfit that applied to the role/era they are presented in in the photo
I think we need to use this form to write some ideas in the event suggestion page. If Gaijin reads them they might get act on it. That is the purpose of the form is it not? I would suggest to first explore the real robot anime settings for this but there are many to choose from. I just don’t like the protagonist syndrome there going for.
They aren’t really characters by what I mean. As in you never really see the pilot or crew and can’t customise them. Is that clearer cause I can’t really think of any other way to describe it :sob:
