I agree with you that they couldve added it to the original packs, but also logically that doesnt make sense
You pay for what you bought at the time, which was Leo2A4M (just a reference), lets say that Leo2A4M is physical and in your back yard, and then Rheinmetall announces a new variant of the 2A4M thats pretty much the exact same just with different designs, would Rheinmetall send you the new 2A4M just cause you bought one last year, or wouldnt they charge you again and you get a second 2A4M?
(Apologies if I made a mistake by saying Rheinmetall as opposed to a different manufacturer)
(Not against you btw, just stating the logical reasoning behind why they didnt)
Not like it hasn’t been done before. This is essentially a skin (model changes are so minor), so it could’ve just gone like the Leopard 2A4M Holiday skin!
A second additional point is Warthunder is a game with no protagonists your “Guy” is one of many in a bigger entity with you having little control over your own situation. Your kind of a victim of protagonists. This Anime crossover introduces protagonistism into the Warthunder environment in its own way. That my idea of it if a developer or mod wants to elaborate that’s there choice on this one.
Wasn’t the original War Thunder “lore” that rich people living in a peaceful utopia were spending their time and money on digital recreations of wars that they could play?
On the 2A4M, yeah the model changes were small, but the T-80U-E1 and M1A1 HC had bigger changes in their model (specifically in the additions) and idk if Gaijin can update the 3d model on a camo by camo basis, and it wouldnt have been fair to just give it to Leo2A4M owners and not the M1/T80 owners, but then if they added the second tank to the pack, thats then getting two for the price of one, but they couldnt have made the second one a cheaper priced pack since then people would get one for half off or so, and they cant make it a requirement to own the first one before you can buy the second cause afaik the MS and PS stores dont support that
I mean, it’s true, the story/lore aspect just jumped into my mind while reading your comment lol
I think that was their explanation for why nobody dies in WT and why your crew members are referred to as “unconscious” or “knocked out” rather than dead
