Shenyang J-16 - Batch 02

I meant the rocket pod not the laser pod, but tbh honestly that one too, you are not wrong lol

A step up from the Su-30MKK

They should add 30 mk2 first

The J-16 is capable of carry x10 radar missiles and x 2 IR missiles. In these photos, you can see that due to the bomb load, they decided to put radar missiles on the last pylon under the wing. Change the description so Gaijing doesn’t disappoint us when they launch this fighter.

what about this?)

That’s just a model made by someone

Also no one would have such a load in an actual scenario, at best at some show off

no one would use war thunder loadouts irl either lmao and as i know it’s not model by “someone”, but from avic or some other chinese corp

Unless I’m given actual proof I’m not changing the suggestion.

Good idea, would definitely go line 3 under JH-7A

Well, it doesnt really go against your suggestion - still 12 hardpoints, question is if it could use this amount of double pylons. Sadly even though i tried, can’t dig deep enough into chinese aircrafts armament info cause of language barrier

Thing is I’ve never seen any proof other than that single model, which is not nearly enough to think that we could see double pylons on the J-16. I do think that it would make a lot of sense to use them, since we saw them on the J-10CE shown at Zhuhai recently (the chin mounted one, meaning 3 x 2 double pylons and the additional standard pylons), but I do not have any proof of it being used on a flanker. The only double pylon I’ve ever seen on a Chinese flanker was the one under the intake that is used for dumb bombs/rockets.

But what about wing double pylon photos in suggestion? What are they used for?

Rockets double pylons. Not nearly long enough to hold any AAMs.

Ic ic, but by any chance - do you know where are those demonstrations could come from?

Tbh no idea, but it doesn’t look like an official channel of the PLA/PLAAF anyway.

Info:
Official PLA/CCTV-7(Idk who owns it, both post videos, CCTV-7 is china’s national TV military channel) youtube channel is called “军迷天下” or @Chinesearmy
the photo with the 中国军网 or 81.cn watermark comes from the official PLA website

Ah got it, the issue is I’ve seen bug reports use the CCTV footage not get accepted. Anyhow as long as we don’t see ACTUAL J-16s with double pylons I won’t change the suggestion.

Yeah it can’t be PLA official…
I don’t think PLA official will tell you a fishing rod manufacturer can offers military-grade carbon fiber material. This story has been widely circulated on Chinese military forums but has long been disproven.

CCTV-7 is directly linked to PLA i think
Their youtube is also pretty ambiguos in whether the PLA, Chinese MOD or CCTV-7 owns it
