Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

@kizvy 4th line is T/W, can get their weight in this same standard.
13200/7.5=1760 < 1,760.6=12500/7.1, though almost same, can be considered as no difference

I would appreciate it if you would word this less in a hostile manner, thank you very much.

You can ignore him. He loves Russian planes very much, and this is understandable.

This is the WS-10A related data I found, from Aviation World 2015, 1:22-49

Feel free to refute if there is a mistake, but don’t attack.

AL-31F 1520 kg 12500/1520=8.22

it’s because of difference in standard, some external parts aren’t taken into count in Russian T/W standard.

what are the external details?we are talking now about engines and the entire AL-31F is 1520kg weight of the WS-10 is about 1700

Maybe don’t be so obsessed with the weight of the WS-10A. At least we all know that the WS-10A has more thrust, probably more than 132kn, and the J-11B is generally lighter than the original SU-27, according to the data is about 700kg. So, eh, whatever one says, the J11B will be lighter and more thrust than the SU-27, and he will definitely be much better than the SU-27.

part of the transmission, fuel/lube inside the engine’s tube, instruments, part of the nozzle, these is not counted in Russian T/W standard, so in Chinese or English source, its weight is about 1700kg, and in Russian source, it’s 1520kg.

1520Kg is the Soviet standard, and by international standards it will be heavier. You are confusing with Soviet standards.

I was not in a good mood before this happened.
I apologize as well.

WS-10A is also an almost 20 years ago engine. now, WS-15 is in final stage before mass production, and Russian Product 30, which is similar performance, also doing final tests. So now CN has caught up with RU, but there is still a long way to US.

China is advancing quickly, but the chosen shape of the nose, airframe materials not just the paint but the actual assembly and placement of composites and other materials matches what is expected from an aircraft of the F-22’s generation. The J-35 shows newer composites, material placement in the naked photos.

There is no better source, this is an arcade game. This is more than sufficient until better data comes along and that is far from sight.

I’m able to access the individual posts, but unless I screenshot the entire page I don’t think anyone else can see as well.

Neither J-11B nor J-10B was on the developer stream… 😭😭

Why was this post removed? It is relevant to the discussion at the time and many of the same technologies were transferred to the WS-10 as stated they subsequently equipped the J-11/15/16 with those engines.

Spoiler

It and the entire chat pretty much derailed to the purpose of the thread.

Mainly starting with the J-20

Seems odd to just remove a singular post then and I feel that one in particular because it was referencing the WS-10 again anyhow.

Flying the Su-33 in dev server makes me want the J-15 now, ngl.

I love the grey naval paint scheme, and the shark decal on the vertical stabilizers.
