This radar also has a tilt angle
dosent matter because the J-16 dosent use this radar
or any radar with side looking arrays
this is the KLJ-7A proposed to Jeff block 3 right?
a fun fact
The J-36 appears to be equipped with this type of radar.

If this photo is not AI-slop
yes
and there are some people convinced that the J-16 uses that radar for some reason
all China plane*
how about you be grateful that it’s 140° instead of 120°?
it isnt
there are alot of photos from different angles where you can see it

yeah…sadly china has absurdly tight OPSEC that we don’t even know the names XD
unless someone finds something solid i really doubt gaijin will move from their decision chair, despite so many bug reports (some are genuinely trash) that got fended off
It’s impossible, a plane with three AESA looks like a plane with three AESA
even then the J-16 dosent have side looking arrays
becasue you would see that in the nose
like on the J-36 or Su-57

would be literally counter-productive to add a radar with window arrays but not giving it said windows to operate XD
Theres and accepted report about the broken PL-12 autopilot, it maxes at about 28-29Gs instead of the 38 on the statcard, so something might happen to the PL-12
neither J16 earlier batches nor the J16D so we can easily bar them out, yet some chinese bug reporters aren’t that eye-cunning to see it
yeah wont help with its energy state tho still a huge win if implemented
its more like they dont want to see it
becasue that means that the radar gimbal limits are correct
17700 is likely weight without pilots etc, 17900 is a good change, much better than the 18300, which would be fine if J15T wasnt 18430
