The MAWS front coverage should be removed, and if that happens, it won’t be able to tell if there’s any IIR missiles coming towards it from the front unless they’re using the radar, but players may be screwed if they turn on the filter.

How is the experience of 48CM at 14.7 or do you just launch missiles and go cold ?

Like integration is possible like KH-29TE on JH-7, but they don’t normally bother since there is lack of necessity as it only complicates training & logistics.

Since I’m using a translation app, there may be some parts that don’t make sense.
I love the J15T and fly it, but I’ve just realized something shocking.
When I looked at the J15T on X-ray, I saw that the radar model used is the same as that of the Su-30SM and 30MKM.
And as several people have pointed out, even though the shape of the radar radome is different, for some reason it’s listed as the KLJ10A.
Looking at the models, it’s clear that N011R = N011M = KLJ10A (J15T).
In terms of performance, KLJ10A (J10C) = KLJ10A (J15T).
What I’m trying to say is that it’s just a paper tiger—a patchwork of parts from various aircraft that was simply slapped together and given the name J15T.
On top of that, ECM hasn’t even been implemented yet.
It’s inevitable that there will be differences in strength within the same BR, but I don’t understand why a J15T—which has no radar, hasn’t been given the PL-15, and lacks ECM—is in BR 14.7 just because of its name.
If they don’t know its real-world performance, they should have implemented it with game balance in mind; the fact that they haven’t done so makes them unfit to be developers

Here’s the situation: China is among the world’s top in radar technology, but the newly developed model only has a scanning range of 70 degrees. This is completely wrong and only shows their lack of capability and narrow-mindedness, thinking that Chinese aircraft are just copies of Russian ones. In fact, the J15T only uses some of the technology. Also, the PL12A doesn’t match its actual performance. The export version would only be weaker. Who would sell a better missile to other countries than their own forces and not equip it first?

J11A is not fully indigenous its basically licensed production using parts from russia
they are just assembling them

pl12a was really just made as a stopgap for china and a cheap export missile china doesnt use them china uses pl15 17 for radar missiles

Your understanding is incorrect. A 2012 paper explicitly mentioned that China’s long-range air-to-air missiles increased their range to 120 km by improving the rocket engine’s nuclear fuel. Changes to the model names of equipment in China are very precise, and such changes generally only exist between different production batches.

Well the 70° are most likley correct since china uses fixed aesa’s for almost every plane and there are no signs of side mounted aesa Modules either.

From another perspective, the blue inert training missile carried under the fuselage of the J-10C at the Zhuhai Airshow 2024, marked with the prefix “JLP12AE”, most likely corresponds to a training round of the PL-12AE. In contrast, the PL-12 missiles previously observed on the J-15T at earlier airshows were marked with a “P12” prefix.
Moreover, the physical characteristics of that blue training round displayed at the airshow do not match those seen in this image.

I have found several reference images of PL-12 training rounds. I suspect that, due to sharpening and AI-based enhancement applied to the low-resolution image, the serial numbers on the forward section of the missile body were distorted and appear as a horizontal stripe.


Before the PL-15 was developed, China was still using the PL-12A, an improved version that increased the propellant and radar accuracy. This was due to the rapid update and iteration, and now the PL-15 is commonly used. In fact, the performance of the PL-12A is still excellent.
