Nothing i’ve said about TVC itself has been directly opinionated, I’ve just been regurgitating what chinese doctrine has been saying for the last decade, if you are taking personal offense to that fact then idk what to tell you.
If you want my opinion, then I think TVC is a cool little gimmick, but good airframe design and aerodynamics simply overcomes the marginal benefits (as seen with the flight performance of aircraft like the Eurofighter and Rafale)

None of those values are attached to a percentage increase or other unit of measurement, so there is fairly limited statistical weight to those claims without the numbers to back it up

Rightfully so, they share a lot of technology with China. The AL-41 was to power their Su-35’s, they’d need to know how to maintain it. The AL-41 is a generation ahead of anything China has in production and Russia is already working on new generations of engines to power the Su-57.
That would be because they are hiring them from anywhere in the world, no know-how is solved by any and all know-how. Zero experience is solved most rapidly by hiring those with experience - not by getting it the hard way.
More likely not cost-effective to warrant the benefits, which are well known and studied on a variety of airframes not least of all the Eurofighter, which also denied the upgrade for the same reason (cost of maintenance).
The game simulates them poorly, but even so, the Typhoon is a bit overperforming imo.
The numbers you are asking for are actually detailed quite well in several documents.

Russia is so ahead of both China and the U.S. when it comes to engine generation and I totally agree! All three SU-57s are going to go from being crudely made second generation aircraft to second and a half generation! Ruzzia is number uno nation on earth!!!
Russia should first be concerned about ACTUALLY producing the SU-57 in large numbers lmao

You denied the benefits of TVC, then you denied specific figures from EFT documents, I mentioned that there were specific figures and now you want to dismiss my argument entirely. It sounds like you’re running from the truth.
2D TVC is different, it has benefits in radar and IR stealth. that’s why it’s showing in new planes

I honestly couldn’t care, this entire debacle stems from the fact that @ron_23 misinterpreted the statements of PLAAF and Chinese Aviation corp scientists and engineers, being that 3D thrust vectoring was both redundant and expensive (based on research from the AL-41 and WS-10Bs with prototype nozzles.)
Yet it’s devolved into a dick measuring contest about the effectiveness of TVC, once again proving why I choose to limit my interaction with you.

You seem to imply that you’ve read me like a book but think I’m pro-Russian or a flanker enthusiast… yikes. Once again you dismiss the argument once it requires any work on your end or admitting that you may have been wrong. Something I’ve done regularly. I’ve been in these shoes, I claimed the Eurofighter could not supercruise. (I was wrong by their arbitrary definition, and admitted so).
Thus, I changed my stance. You haven’t gone so far as that.
