the radar “buff” wasn’t really true, i suspect its misinterpreted from the datamine part that said Type 1493 ACM and HMD lock range 10 → 74km, this number does not do anything, take a look at Kfir C10 in the files, it has 200km lock range yet its not there in the game.
I think it is some hidden stuff that isn’t really there but for use of the server for example. The range increase to 90km although statcard supposed to say 120km, and the better ACM is enough for now at least.
I’ve been advocating for the J-16 ever since the Rafale was added. It’s by no means “to modern” anymore as most would say.
Only issue i see with it is there’s little to no information about it’s radar and even the cockpit is mostly still unknown with bits and pieces available
So a J-11BS with WS-10B engine’s would be an easy place to start i guess
It’s not the first time Gaijin has made up stuff, they’ll find a way to do it. But unfortunately this would also mean it would be harder to stop their potential injustices if Gaijin screws up the radar or subsystems hard to an unrealistically low standard.

It’s mainly due to the difference in aviation fuel used by the Russians/Chinese that lead to the afterburner color iirc.
no point, they haven’t even fixed the J-11B, I would rather never ever see the J-16 in the game than to see it useless and pathetic.

The J-11B is already the best Flanker in game right now and AFAIK the radar is being fixed in the upcoming update
Su-30SM is leagues better than it lol
…And also the fact that it can carry more the twice the amount of Fox 3 missiles that perform better than the PL-12 in long range and also short range.
Id still take the J-11 any day of the week just for the better engines and flight performance.
And yeah while the R-77-1 is wayy better up close it still looses speed like a mf when maneuvering.
The absurd missile load is the only save and grace of the SU-30
The PL-12 atm is pretty much a jack of all trades but a master of none

I also like a few R27ETs and 73s. Radar as well, PESA is sooooo nice, at least compared to 60km placeholder.
Just to ask, has anyone been able to just make a report of J11B radar in dev? says 120km in statcard but is just 90 for now.
The radar can only lock in the green area, in the black area it can still detect them, just cannot lock.
Issue is I don’t get to see anything beyond 100km in this case. So still a 100km radar.
In which mode though?
Any I am pretty sure. PD or TWS at least. I didn’t check PD HDN or any of the other ones.
