…And also the fact that it can carry more the twice the amount of Fox 3 missiles that perform better than the PL-12 in long range and also short range.
Id still take the J-11 any day of the week just for the better engines and flight performance.
And yeah while the R-77-1 is wayy better up close it still looses speed like a mf when maneuvering.
The absurd missile load is the only save and grace of the SU-30
The PL-12 atm is pretty much a jack of all trades but a master of none

I also like a few R27ETs and 73s. Radar as well, PESA is sooooo nice, at least compared to 60km placeholder.
Just to ask, has anyone been able to just make a report of J11B radar in dev? says 120km in statcard but is just 90 for now.
The radar can only lock in the green area, in the black area it can still detect them, just cannot lock.
Issue is I don’t get to see anything beyond 100km in this case. So still a 100km radar.
In which mode though?
Any I am pretty sure. PD or TWS at least. I didn’t check PD HDN or any of the other ones.
Typically you can only achieve maximum range in LPRF or HPRF modes, PD and regular TWS are MPRF which while very good in all aspect isn’t as long range as the other options.
so you should use SRC, PD HDN or PDV for achieving maximum range.

I honestly think 30sm is better just because it has CAS and that R77-1 is so nice. Also PESA is nice. Too many people just spam too hard with it.

weapon set and radar set is so nice on it but the weak engines in combo with the heaviest flanker air frame is a major drawkback. id still give the J11B the title for the best flanker ingame
